The Risk Data Analytics vertical within RADS focuses on building and delivering robust data, business intelligence and automation products and solutions through innovative tools and technology and diverse talent across Risk and Compliance.Associate Consultant, Risk Data Analytics is a key member of the Risk Analytics and Data Services team and will have responsibilities consist mainly of business process analysis, project management and reporting. The Associate Consultant will work under supervision and in a team environment performing requirements gathering, process analysis, documentation and reporting/ visualization.Job title: Associate Consultant Location: Bangalore Experience: 4-6 years of relevant experienceJob Duties Understand the business process, analyse the multiple data sources/systems, translate business requirements into technical specifications and subsequently work with technical developers / business stakeholders Extract necessary data from systems, build processes and develop visualization dashboards and address any ad-hoc queries using SQL and Power BI Develop solutions that a) leverage/extend existing Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence and analytics infrastructure, b) are integrated with data governance and enterprise solutions, c) are scalable, repeatable, effective and d) follow agreed upon governance and technology policies Identify opportunities for enhancing value proposition along with data chain and ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported and resolved in a timely manner Plan meetings with key stakeholders (Business, Risk, Compliance, IT), manage the meetings through a structured agenda and comprehensively document discussions Understand the Data and Analytics projects both from a business & technical aspect and support the data analytics need of the group; participate in special projects as needed and perform other duties in line with priority Analyse and understand Northern Trust risk-related processes and data flows to design and develop crisp ETL processes, robust database(s) and appealing business intelligence solutions that provide analytical insightsQualification Master/Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Data Analytics or a related field preferably from Tier 1 institutionSkills Required 4-6 years of experience as a Data Engineer/Database Developer in RDBMS like Oracle, SQL Server with data architecture/modelling skills Experience in database development in SQL is mandatory and conceptual understanding of data modelling & data warehousing is a must. Working knowledge of any ETL tool such as DataStage or Informatica Power Center is mandatory and exposure to UNIX, Python, Shell Scripting is good to have. Intermediate working knowledge of any data visualization tool (such as Power BI) will be advantageous Experience in the Banking and Financial Services industry is preferred Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills coupled with strong analytical and problem solving skillsWorking with Us: As a Northern Trust partner, greater achievements await.
