Job Description

You will work with a world class team on qualification and testing of the next generation infrastructure and lifecycle management portfolio of HPE products. Our team ensures the quality of the solution stack of HPE iLO, iLO Amplifier, iLO REST, Smart Update Manager, HPE Infosight with different HPE server platforms.

• What you will do:
  • Work with value chain partners to understand product requirement and influence features, functionality and design to build debuggable, programmable and maintainable software and arrive at effective and efficient test strategies.
  • Drive the integration and validation of software and hardware on server products
  • Define the goals for end-to-end testing the release criteria for every customer use-case and enable the teams towards achieving these goals.
  • Provide test leadership, define automation best practices and set high standards for the entire team to build consistent and maintainable tests
  • Mentor/coach develop junior engineers
  • Research, recommend and implement open source and other tools as needed to increase automation across the board with the view of optimizing & creating better test and release efficiencies.

• You ve Got
  • A Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with 13+ years of experience or Masters Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with 10+ years of experience.
  • Extensive Experience in one or more of the following:
    • Python
    • Robo and any other automation framework tools
    • REST APIs, JSON/XML, micro services architecture
  • An understanding of datacenters, servers, storage and networking concepts
  • Should have a good understanding of system power/reset/boot flows, and firmware (BIOS, BMC and CPLD, etc.) interactions during the process
  • Experience in gathering information from validation, design, BIOS, Firmware, Chipset, processor, IO subsystem, and manageability software and hardware stack, as needed, to derive an integration test strategy.
  • Experience in server performance (CPU, Memory, IO, etc.) characterization, debug and tuning is a bonus
  • Experience in identifying dependencies between components in an infrastructure management solution stack, and test by integrating different pieces together.
  • Expertise in designing test strategies for applications based on micro services architecture. Innate ability to drive innovation into test strategies and activities in the software quality assurance organization along with ensuring high levels of automation.
  • Experience in designing innovative quality assurance and test processes for portions and subsystems of end-user applications, systems software, and firmware running on hardware, local, networked, and Internet- based platforms.
  • Hands-On experience in design and development of automation framework and simulators
  • Exposure to whitebox testing, including ability to read through product code, debug issues, improve coverage, identify missing scenario will be an added advantage
