  • To provide comprehensive biotransformation support to discovery programs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive biotransformation support to assigned programs starting from carrying out experiments, analyzing data, preparing the reports. Perform all this within defined time lines and meeting defined quality expectations.
  • Group Responsibilities: Work other sub-disciplines with PCO to support project. Assist in sharing and inculcating best practices across the group.
  • Capability Development Responsibilities: Work on exploratory and capability development projects as relevant to the organization.
  • People Responsibilities: Work closely with peers and other members of the department to eliminate bottlenecks and facilitate smooth communications and transactions.
  • Metabolism Responsibilities: Interact with the metabolism group to be familiar with their assays and provide bench level, technical and conceptual support as needed.
  • Any other duties given from time to time in Operations by the line manager.
Educational Qualification:
  • Masters in pharmaceutical analysis or pharmaceutical chemistry.
Technical/functional Skills:
  • Expert in handling a mass spectrometer
  • Expert in conducting metabolite identification experiments
  • Good understanding in biotransformation fundamentals and enzymology.
  • Understanding of advanced biotransformation studies such as bile duct cannulated studies and reaction phenotyping.
  • Basic understanding of inhibition and metabolic stability assays.
  • Basic understanding of lead optimization in drug discovery.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent documentation abilities
  • Excellent inter-personal relationships
Experience:
  • 2-4 years

  • Ability to learn understanding and application of information & concepts.
