The skill set would be generalized familiarity with network related data sets, data transport protocols (REST APIs, SFTP, scp, kafka, nifi, flume, sqoop etc.), data structures (json, csv, xml, etc.), and data storage technologies (HDFS, HIVE, , Impala, Splunk, ElasticSearch, etc.). Focus would be on ability and willingness to learn, with a solid technical grounding, rather than specific technical knowledge. A working knowledge of utility scripting and matrix data manipulation in Python, and shell, and a working knowledge of SQL and Splunk SPL would be a plus. At least 5 years relevant experience. Degrees in Computer Science; Data Science; Statistics, Machine Learning, or related fields also considered. Must be self-motivated, inquisitive, highly analytical, organized, and detail-oriented with strong time management skills and ability to meet project timelines in a fast-paced environment. 5+ years of experience working with Data Science teams including machine learning and streaming visualization. 3 -5 Years of experience with Kafka, Nifi Sqoop 3-5+ years experience with HDFS; Impala; Hue; Hive, HBase, and other Hadoop components and concepts. ,
