This in turn helps us to provide better support to our broad client base.PURPOSE:As a blockchain engineer, you will be part of a globally distributed team. You will collaborate with multi-domain business and technology teams. You will analyse the bank s technological needs and create applications/platforms/ecosystem to meet those needs. You will work with technology teams to design and implement solutions to leverage cross-asset concepts and frameworks. You will work on emerging technologies, build POC s leveraging internal infrastructure and data, and partner with Product on implementation strategy.The ideal candidate should have a strong background in distributed database experience and single sign-on (SSO) security experience will be beneficial. You should also have a strong attention to detail and be able to work with multiple system components at once.RESPONSIBILITIES:Participate in design, development and implementation of blockchain solutions.Design, engineer & rollout blockchain as a service for various business use cases within the bankExperience in open source blockchain technologies (e.g. Hyperledger, Ethereum, Open chain, corda ) and Crypto currency, tokensHas experience with permissioned and non-permissioned solution designBrainstorm and help evaluate applications for new tools and technologies as they continually evolveLeverage experience with and knowledge of Open source blockchain platform, Proof of Stake, Proof of Existence etc.Presenting solutions, POCs, and options to clients in a team setting for each project in a consultative environment, traveling to client locations as neededCollaboratively define blockchain systems architecture and best practices.Write high calibre code on a daily basis to satisfy product requirements.Document best practices and act as a knowledgeable resource for blockchain engineering and problem-solving.Coach and mentor other members of the development team, growing the collective knowledge and expertise of the groupAdopt DevOps and agile engineering approachKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor s degree in a computer science, information systems, engineering7+ years of software engineering experience (backend and/or fullstack) developing highly reliable, scalable products and servicesMust have 1+ year of coding in node.jsStrong experience with at least one modern coding languages such as Javascript, Python, Java, C++1 + year of developing in blockchain using Hyperledger (fabric, composer) and/or Ethereum (solidity)Experience with SQL and/or NoSQLPreferred Qualifications:Experience with golang, chain code, nodejs, web3.js, Geth, Corda, AWS, Bluemix, Azure, StellarCertifications in blockchain technologiesConsulting experienceGithub with recent blockchain coding sample to viewGeneral Requirements:Excellent verbal and written communication, and presentation skills in EnglishOpen to working in areas outside of your comfort zone, experimenting with new technologies and techniquesAble to work in a fast paced, collaborative environmentComfortable working in a corporate environmentCollaborate with cross-functional teamsExcellent problem-solving skills, open to challengesCritical thinking and communication skillsReports to: Head, Data Strategy & Architecture,
