Job Description

Job summary: We are looking for a Senior 3D Generalist, who can create and texture high and low poly models including characters, BG environment, props etc. for Gamification, AR- VR, 3D Animation Projects. Your primary responsibility to work as a 3D Modeler and Texturing artist and however you should be flexible to work as a UI Designer/Aftereffects animator to work effectively in a productive environment. Maintain creative skills and a broad knowledge in latest tools and production techniques.Purpose of the job:

  • Work closely with Art Directors/Project Managers to develop 3D assets and produce innovative ideas for client deliverables and complete the tasks within production deadlines while being largely self-directed.
  • Work on Gamification, AR- VR, 2D, 3D Animation projects, effectively prioritizes work and balances multiple priorities simultaneously to meet client commitments and deadlines.
  • Excellent skills in 3D Modeling, Texturing using digital tools like Autodesk Maya, Blender, Z- Brush, Substance Painter, Sketchup and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Accurately model objects in both high- and low-polygon based on concept arts / real life photo references. These can be anything from props, vehicles, buildings, vegetation, set dressing & characters (including Blendshapes).
  • Should have good knowledge in UV layout, texture projections, and 2D texture painting in UV layouts. Create high quality textures from photographic references or concept art including but not limited to colour using normal maps, specular maps, parallax mapping and knowledge in shader networks will be an advantage.
  • Strong visual skills - a good eye for detail of character anatomy, perspective, scale, composition, colour, physical motion, weight, balance and form.
  • Good to have working knowledge in Unity 3D game engine, you should be able to create 3D layout, prefabs, level design, scene lighting and export as a unity package asset to programming team to reduce their productive time coding.
  • Good to have good understanding of character kinematics, deformation, production pipeline/workflow techniques as they apply to animation biomechanics.
  • Good to have basic knowldge in CG Lighting techniques, color theory, balance/contrast, rendering techniques such as Global Illumination, HDRI, Final Gather, pre-rendering, real-time rendering, Digital Lighting, Color Theory, Balance/Contrast and Emotive response
  • You should be a proactive team player with strong work ethic, self-direction and ability to perform visual and analytical problem-solving.
  • Able to listen to feedback from Art Director, Project Manager, Clients, Developer and constantly critique your own work to achieve the best possible quality.
  • Must be able to work alone or collaboratively and manage multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Minimum 8 years experience in 3D animation / game production.
  • You must have a portfolio demonstrating 3D modeling,texturing skills.
  • Developing and conceptualizing a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for the brand.
  • Producing high quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, infographics and prototypes.
  • Designing UI elements and tools such as navigation menus, search boxes, tabs, and widgets for our digital assets.
  • Working knowledge of the following technologies and software: Sketch, InVision, Adobe XD, Figma, iOS, Android, Design Systems and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • A portfolio in UI designing / traditional art work, together with drawings, paintings, photography, will be an added advantage.
  • Good to have UI design skills like creates layouts with strong typography and appropriate use of color, images and fonts, allowing for readability of type for client deliverables requiring conceptualization of ideas in preparation of original art.
  • Good to have basic skills in concept art, skecthing / illustration using Adobe Photoshop / Adobe Illustrator will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient and remains up-to-date with graphics software tools and equipment required of the position, including Audtodesk Maya, Blender, Z-Brush, Substance Painter, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After effects, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Knowledge in Unity 3D game engine will be an added advantage.
  • Maintains awareness of state-of-the-art techniques, equipment, best practices and developments within the 3D design community.
  • Supports firm brand, understands, implements, and strictly adheres to the quality standards and procedures established by Ernst & Young, including VI and branding guidelines.
  • May cross-train in additional CSG disciplines to provide flexibility during peak times.
  • Pursues and shares best practices within the department and among GSS/CSG staff.
  • Performs CSG standard electronic file management and archiving.
Analytical/Decision making responsibilities:
  • Plans and organizes own work and keeps others informed of status and activities.
Knowledge and skills requirements:
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating portfolio demonstrating 3D modeling and texturing skills.
  • Communication skills: Good communication skills in English are essential as the role requires direct communication with international team members and clients.
  • Tools: Excellent technical knowledge in Autodesk Maya, Blender, Z-Brush, Substance Painter, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Aftereffects and related Adobe products are pre-requisits for this role.

  • Bachelor s degree, preferably in Graphic Design and/or related discipline, or relevant work experience.
