The team has charter to build out the next generation of VLSI CAD infrastructure platform. The team follows very structured SW development approach for VLSI CAD domain i.e. The team is at ease working in an agile Scrum and Kanban environment with little supervision. We are looking for a person who should embody a passion for continuous improvement and test-driven development in this environment. We are sure you will experience the state of art development of scalable CAD infrastructure solutions.Key Responsibilities:Develops and apply CAD software engineering methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems. Collaborate cross-functionally with various types of VLSI design data, business unit users, project managers and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions. Provide recommendations for continuous improvement. Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices. Reviewing current systems, Presenting ideas for system improvements, including cost proposals, Working closely with analysts, designers and staff, Producing detailed specifications and writing the programmed codes or POC, Testing the product in controlled, real situations before going live, Preparation of training manuals for users, Maintaining the systems once they are up and running.This involves

• Develops, test and support Design Automation flow infrastructure flavors
• Collaborating with design teams on methodology development to increase velocity.
• Consult SoC development projects to ensure proper usage and availability of Design system infrastructure and methods.
• Pro-actively driving the continuous improvement of the flows
• Understanding specification, implementation, testing, release and support of the design flow infrastructure components.
• Propose, evaluate and integrate new features of Data-management (Perforce/ Git / /DesignSync) in Design Flow for better integration of EDA tools.
• Evaluate the existing legacy in-house tools in use to Re-architect them using software best practices and technologies to make them faster, leaner, modular, maintainable etc.
• Work with Infra lead & flow users to understand design flow challenges and come up with innovative ideas/solutions to resolve them
• Support by providing training documents on Flow Infrastructure software to designers, flow developers and support engineers
• Participate in Code and spec reviews with guidance from lead experts
• Ensuring compliance with all Quality/Process practices in s/w development.

QualificationsQualifications and Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in the areas of Software programming and EDA tool development
• BE / BTech / MS in Computer Science or Electrical / Electronics Engineering
• Experience in bringing productivity and efficiency through Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence.
• DevOps experience in building and deploying software products.
• Good hand-on experience on Object-Oriented Programming (Python, Perl, C/C++)
• Good experience in SDLC process
• Experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks.
• Exposure to Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with building APIs and services using REST will be a plus.
• Prior knowledge of VLSI chip design flow, HDL languages (VHDL/Verilog/System Verilog) is desirable
• Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities without supervision.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
