Job Description

    Skills Must Have: - Good knowledge on databases (relational stores like Oracle, DB2, Sybase etc.), data modeling, Query Language like PL/SQL, Domain specific Language(DSL) (This is most important skill requirement for this role) - Good knowledge of Data warehousing Concepts.- Understands SDLC, the importance of Regression Testing , Code Coverage & Automation aspects- Willing to adapt and learn new tools and technologies Good to Have (Candidates with some exposure to these technologies will be preferred): - Exposure to any ETL tool and its functionalities. - Exposure to Unix environment. - Exposure to programming leveraging Core Java, Java scripting, Python or Scala (Preference will be given to candidates with exposure to programming in addition to strong DB skills) - Exposure to Reporting tools like Tableau, Analytical tools like Dremio, Midas, At-scale- Knowledge on Non relational Databases, Big data technologies, Hadoop ecosystem Kafka, Spark, Cloud AWS, Kubernetes will be a plus- Exposure to Financial industry/Regulatory reporting domain will be preferable Key Responsibilities include: - Business User engagement to understand their requirements, workflow and issues- Build data pipelines on data lake platform that includes identifying & sourcing information from upstream system/models, setting up data models & writing business logic for reporting, integration with downstream flow/systems- Data analysis, testing, Performance tuning and issue investigations (on databases or data lake platforms - This may require some awareness/exposure on big data platforms and related tools)- Participate in design discussion and code reviews- Create tools for automation, business logic generation, testing and data reconciliation etc. Goal is to streamline/automate/ simplify any manual workflow.- Integrate data pipeline with analytical and reporting tools (Enhance/add new reporting workflows leveraging Java scripting, Core Java, Dremio, Midas, Tableau etc. These skills can be picked on the job but candidate should have inclination to pick new skills. ,
