Job Description

    Financial Analysis is responsible for partnering across the firm to provide financial and strategic analysis, oversight, and coordination of budgeting and forecasting. Our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) teams are responsible for a wide range of activities including financial control, forecasting and budgeting, analysis of financial/business metrics, delivery of weekly/monthly/quarterly management reporting, development of new reporting capabilities (e.g. dashboards), and advising the line of business CFOs on how to increase profitability and efficiencies.You will analyze, prepare, and reconcile accounting and technical data as well as prepare reports, while always thinking of and devising ways to streamline and minimize cycle times through automated applications and process improvement. You will also help develop recommendations effecting business procedures and operations and maintain financial and reporting systems. In addition, you will assist the department and other team members with special projects or components of other projects as needed.In a Financial Analysis role, you would be responsible for:
    • Managing annual/continual financial planning activities for product areas, providing business rationale and decisions for all month-end financial performance and forecasting, conducting reviews and analysis on product financial performance, consumption/demand planning, budgeting, billing, trends, and exception reports
    • Creating financial business cases supporting business initiatives
    • Developing and tracking performance metrics, creating presentations, and generally providing financial analysis on a variety of topics to senior management
    • Helping design new reports and dashboards to efficiently deliver the financial results to senior management
    • Enhancing controls and streamlining processes, introducing automation where possible
    • Responsible for running the monthly ABC process leveraging internal tool & other financial inputs. This includes :
      • Updating compensation, vendor, & indirect allocation info
      • Scrubbing the data for workstream related
      • Publishing financial results & preparation of management presentation
    • Assists in the analysis & UAT for loan level activities/drivers. Requires logging key info into JIRA & uploading supporting documentation
    • Develops/maintains dashboards relating to Activity Costing results , working closely with Finance MIS staff on governance
    • Assists in pulling data for ad hoc analysis/projects
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance or a subject of a technical nature
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience related to process automation, intelligent solutions, analytics
    • Extensive experience working with Alteryx Designer/Server with external datasets, complex workflows
    • Understanding and ability to manipulate and join multiple diverse datasets in Alteryx
    • Experience in Data modeling - Use Alteryx to create a repeatable ETL and data model to serve data to Tableau dashboards
    • Visualization experience working with Tableau Desktop and Server
    • Understanding of data visualization best practices
    • Experience working with SQL based environments such as Oracle, Teradata, Hive or Impala
    • Good understanding of the star schema and data models in the data warehouse
    • Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting abilities
    • Presentation and delivery skills with the ability to tell the story
    • Strong time management and organization skills; ability to identify and escalate risk
