Job Description

We are looking for a Chief Architect to own the technology roadmap for the core Data Plane and Control Plane portfolio and be a key leader at Sandvine in our transformation to the Cloud and 5G landscape. This leadership role will have the responsibility of keeping the core product architecture and IP portfolio at the forefront of emerging technologies and ensure it supports Sandvine s long - term strategic vision. Sandvine has engineering and architecture leadership when it comes to highly performant platforms delivering industry - leading features. Telecom operators are on a massive transformational journey towards cloud deployments and next - generation technologies while facing rapidly increasing demands on their network infrastructure. This role will require significant experience with architecting platforms and solutions with the right TCO, resiliency and performance as well as experience with transforming them into cloud - native deployments. The right candidate will also have architecture experience with real - time software platforms of high complexity, mission - critical reliability and big data dimension. In a Chief Architect Core Products, we are looking for knowledge of the technologies used in Sandvine s products, Cloud, Machine Learning and 5G. Telecom technology knowledge is a necessity. This leader will also be externally - facing, helping drive customer, partner and open source community sponsorship with herhis strategic and technical acumen. We are looking for a technology leader that can confidently evangelize the company s technical vision and gain followership, externally and internally. Leadership and communication skills will help the Chief Architect Core Products collaborate with the leadership team, the relationship builds with clients and build a high - performance team. The Job:

• Own the core products technology roadmap, which is linked to the company s strategic plan;
• Serve as a leading voice internally on what technologies and partnerships the company should lean into to execute its product roadmap and cloud transformation;
• Be a key contributor to overall company strategy in collaboration with other senior staff;
• Manage team of core product architects hire, mentor, set objectives, motivate and manage.
• Drive the identification and incorporation of new, disruptive technologies into the architecture;
• Contribute IP in the form of patents and trade secrets;
• Evangelize technology vision externally and internally.
What skills you bring:
• MTechMEngMScPhD in identified technologies or equivalent direct work experience.
• Oversaw product and platform strategy and initiatives within the last 24 months as the go - to architecture leader;
• Ability to demonstrate material impact on the product portfolio s key indicators (customer adoption, revenue growth etc.);
• Ability to demonstrate transformation of the portfolio from an appliance or virtual deployment to cloud readiness;
• Has vision and can engineer towards multiple horizons of projected architecture change in the telecom operator end market;
• Oversaw architecture for improved UX and single pane of glass in delivering multiple use cases to client base;
• Telco industry solution experience;
• Experience in machine learning and 5G (desired);
• Experience with Kafka, closed loop automation, threat detection (desired);
• Excellent listening skills and ability to influence a variety of cultures and personalities;
• Track record of recruiting and developing a world class team of architects; defining a performance - oriented culture, and establishing a training infrastructure to enable them to deliver fast, high quality solutions;
• Strong existing external relationships vendors, open source communities, academic technology leaders, telco customers, universities;
• Able to travel to customers and our global R&D centers;
• Able to work globally and across time zones and cultures;
