Job Description

Job Role Summary

The Device Solutions Client Engineering Analyst, as part of the ExxonMobil IT(EMIT) group, has global responsibility for the Desktop Service. The Client Engineering Analyst will be located in Bengaluru, India and will design, engineer and implement solutions to support the Desktop service, including, but not limited to the following: Security, policy management, hardware certification and driver and firmware management, Operating System lifecycle management, Internet Browser support, and Windows image management. The Client Engineering Analyst works under the day-to-day direction of the Device Solutions Houston Supervisor located in Houston, Texas USA

Primary Job Function

Certify new hardware from Dell and other manufacturers by adding support for drivers to the corporate Windows 10 Image and other supported images Engineer processes for local desktop operations teams to install Windows images Build and support tools and utilities that support the image provisioning process Deploy Windows 10 Feature Updates to existing fleet of corporate images Manage security of Windows desktop via Active Directory group policies or scripts Maintain design and operational documentation Act as a change coordinator to implement solutions Provide training to other support organizations

Job Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in supporting a Microsoft Windows client infrastructure including hardware and OS support Strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language B.S. in Information Technology Management or equivalent degree/work experience Self-starter and self-motivated Ability to work well in a Team Knowledge and experience of managing client policy settings in Active Directory Knowledge and experience in using System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), specifically deploying packages, applications, and creating On Screen Display (OSD) task sequences Basic scripting skills in PowerShell and VB Script

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Experience supporting Dell hardware and or Microsoft Surface Pro devices Desire and wiliness to learn new technologies and processes Good Planning, Leadership and Coordination skills - ability to effectively multi-task Knowledge and experience managing clients via Intune Knowledge of managing web browsers such as Edge(Chromium), Chrome or Internet Explorer in an Enterprise environment Programming skills in VB.NET and C# Knowledge of Linux desktop flavors (e.g. Ubuntu, Lubuntu, etc.)
