Job Description

    * ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Participate in a cross-functional R&D Engineering team working to attain necessary global certifications for product lines under your responsibility. In pursuit of this goal, you will:
    • Interface with R&D Engineering teams that are focused on the delivery of products requiring regulatory product compliance.
    • Interface with 3rd party test and certification bodies to initiate projects, deliver test data and related documentation, and solve compliance issues.
    • Execute project plans, possibly to include product testing, to deliver final product certifications including Product Safety, EMC, and Environmental parameters.
    • Maintain product compliance status and documentation throughout product lifecycle.
    • Interface with Manufacturing personnel to support product compliance issues.
    • Keep abreast of changes and developments in relevant global testing standards and requirements.
    • Participate in periodic audits by 3rd party accreditation agencies such as UL, IEC and others.
    • Draft, edit, and publish internal work instructions and operational procedures to support product compliance testing to international standards.
    • Strong Knowledge in product regulatory compliance standards related to 3 Phase UPS System, VRLA Batteries, Li-Ion Batteries, UPS Auxiliary Products, STS, Power Distribution Unit (PDU), related accessories & solutions for customer s critical environment. Regulator Standards of UL1778, IEC 62040-1,-2,-3, UL924, IEC 61439-1,-2, IEC 62477-1, EN50121-1,5, IEC 60068-2-1
    • Strong Knowledge in Lab Accreditation to ISO 17025, IEC CTF2 Assessment
    • Ensure that applications are in line with customer needs and safety standards
    • Evaluating regulatory compliance standards related to Electronic Components and 3rd party products
    • Provide feedback to vendors and design engineers with recommendations for improvements to the standards
    • Ability to work independently and become a role model
    • Identify the risks in adapted product offers & create the risk mitigation plans together with design team
    • Able to work in cross cultural and cross functional global teams.
    • Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
    • Passionate team member, who can motivate individuals across different disciplines
    • Excellent command of written and spoken English. Driven and able to complete tasks autonomously and under pressure. Ability to grasp new concepts and skills quickly.
    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE MINIMUM REQUIRED:
    • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent
    • Strong Knowledge in product regulatory compliance standards
    • 7-10 years working in a cross-functional R&D Engineering environment delivering electrical systems through development and into manufacturing.
    • Strong problem-solving skills.
    • Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist mid and senior level engineering and project management staff.
