*Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience., *This role is available in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Platform and Identity Development team. Third party developers are empowered to innovate on the Oracle Cloud by building and publishing their applications, and thus enhancing the value of running business applications on the Oracle Cloud.What You ll Do:- Translate Ideas into deliverable architectural approaches- Provide architectural oversight to the team- Design and build distributed, scalable, fault tolerant software systems- Create actionable roadmaps to prioritize change and develop realistic, realizable plans for- Participate in the entire software lifecycle Architecting, developing, testing and operations- Balance between product feature development and production operational concerns- Leverage plethora of internal tooling at OCI to develop, build, deploy and troubleshoot softwareDesired Skills- Exposure to web-scale software development- 12+ years of hands-on programming- Familiarity with micro services, REST API development- Experience migrating to or architecting microservices cloud solutions and/or containers or has built such cloud-native applications- Expertise in Relational and Non-Relational databases.- Have a deep passion for technology, a love of learning new things and helping customers succeed- Exposure to concurrent programming principles, object oriented analysis & design, design patterns- Good understanding of web application stacks- Should have shipped some infrastructure or system services, or web applications/services- Expertise in Core Java, JavaEE and related technologies- Quick learning & thinking in order to solve problems at hand- Good understanding of Web architecture and protocols- skills to effectively manage architecture complexity- excellent facilitation, negotiation, influencing and consensus building skills to drive diverse teams towards Oracles goals.- Knowledge of SDLC and IT frameworks like TOGAF, DevOps and Agile- Expertise or strong familiarity with Security, Scalability, High Availability, Performance of Applications- Familiarity with any of the following technologies will be a bonus: Dropwizard, Git, Docker, Kubernetes
