Job Description

This role is a member of the Global Connected Sales & Services Portfolio (CSS), part of Global IT s newly formed Digital Experience Office ( DXO ).This position spans across 1 or more Salesforce.com instances, including solutions across Sales, Service and Marketing to support Cargill s Businesses and Enterprises. This position is a global role, and will have the opportunity to work with employees or partners that are located across the world.This position will work closely with enterprise process leads, architects and other Global IT teams in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, to design and deliver Salesforce.com capabilities and product solutions that meet the needs of the organization. This position is to be the Salesforce.com Technical Expert (80% Sales/Service Cloud, 20% cross-cloud), maintaining and ensuring deep knowledge and solutioning expertise. This position must be able to translate business requirements into best practice technogy solutions, using Salesforce platform. This role is expected to analyze data/integrations and propose for solutions on how a business can better manage their data/integrations in Salesforce. This role has the opportunity to be a key member on DXO team, with influence on how all of Cargill s Salesforce orgs can be standardized and managed within our portfolio.This position is accountable to keep Salesforce solutions in alignment with the Global IT governance model and processes, and must understand the integration impacts with other process areas, technologies and partners. This position will also help to determine the feasibility and estimation for new Salesforce.com features, enhancements and extensions. This role will also contribute to strategy roadmap for one or more Salesforce instances and collaborate closely with region business analysts, architects and service advisors to drive future plans and provide support for complex problem solving where additional expertise is required.Principal Accountabilities70% Solution Design & DevelopmentUnderstand business problems and propose best fit technology solutionsDesigning, developing and managing/maintaining solutions built on the salesforce.com platformIdentify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize Salesforce applicationsProvide technical support and consultation for application and SF related questionsServe as the subject matter expert for solution architecture that will include configuration, development, integration and customization of complex environmentsServe as technical lead for Salesforce projects, leading design and deploymentStrong understanding of Salesforce Declarative Programming and Administration (develop code, custom objects, LDS, Apex, reports, workflows and assignment rules)Design and develop solutions which may interfacte/integrate with other applications such as ERP etc.Lead data analysis and converstion within or between Salesforce orgs20% Consulting & PartneringDevelop and maintain long term business domain knowledgePrepare status and deliverables with focus on quality to function and key audiences. Consulting approach.Partner across global virtual teams across Functional Analysts, Business Analysts, Value Enablers, Technical teams, other Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, Infrastructure teams, and vendors to ensure alignment with projects, programs and strategies, and standards. Both in Portfolio, Other Portfolios and Regions.Work alongside Solution Architects and Technical Architects to design, develop, and deploy large-scale enterprise solutions all while learning and growing your skill set.Communicate effectively with other developers, business, and QA teams10% Platform GovernanceContribute to communities of practice forums to share broader updates with Cargill s Salesforce communityPromote solution re-use over re-build and also assist in buy v/s build conversationsEnsure 3 rd party vendors adhere to Cargill standards and best practices while doing any development, * Education, Experience, Skills Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business, IT, or Computer Science or equivalent
  • 6+ years of IT and business / industry work experience
  • 3+ years experience as a Salesforce Technical Developer/Consultant (preferably Sales/Service Cloud)
  • Completed Salesforce Platform Developer 1 Certification
  • Completed Salesforce Platform Developer 2 Certification
  • Experience working with 3 rd party software providers
  • Ability to Deliver Results (Quality & Benefits)
  • Strong collaboration and developing influencing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo and be successful in ambiguous situations
  • Experience interacting effectively, confidentially and appropriately with various levels management and customers, across the world
  • Analytical and investigation skills
  • Hands on knowledge of Salesforce Lightning Framework, Apex Programming, Point & Click configuration
  • Exposure to agile delivery methods
  • Ability to communicate with customers and provide consultation on Salesforce solutions
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to give optimal solutions
Preferred requirements
  • Prior working knowledge of Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Einstein Analytics, other Salesforce products.
  • Exposure to customer centric design principles
  • Understanding of food/agriculture industry sector
  • Industry certification (Examples include Salesforce, ITIL, APICS, six sigma, etc.)
  • Masters Degree or equivalent (preferably in Science area)
