Job Description

Working as a R&D Engineer at Signify is dynamic. You ll be driving technology and architect evolution in the R&D teams. We re greater together through peer learning in our globally diverse team, with different backgrounds and nationalities.

We are looking for a Senior Mobile Application Developer who forms a team tailored for a specific mission. You contribute to fast realization of prototypes as well as effective product development, by applying deep engineering knowledge of the most relevant coding platforms and standards, in combination with proven Agile collaboration methods and test-driven development.

You ll be part of the Signify R&D Bangalore and its responsibilities are architecture, design, development and test automation, so Innovation and passion for technology must be in your DNA.

What you ll do

As Senior Mobile Application Developer in the Cloud & Applications group, your responsibilities are:

  • Planning, development, deployment, and maintenance of various software solutions
  • Defining tasks and giving time estimates
  • To write clean, maintainable code and test it
  • To roll out new features, and analyse (and react) to the results you learn about from our QA Engineers and user feedback
  • To collaborate with clients and both project and technical teams
  • Being able to present your solutions in front of clients and/or a group of colleagues
  • Use agile methodologies in development (if you don t know them yet, we will teach you)
  • Participate in code reviews, pairing, and other forms of knowledge sharing
  • To continually improve your skills and push others to go forward with their knowledge
  • Working in a cross-functional team

What you ll need

  • Bachelor/master s degree in computer science engineering, Information Science, or equivalent
  • At least 8 years of professional experience with Android SDK and Java
  • Good knowledge of Kotlin or published apps written in Kotlin would be considered as an advantage
  • At least 2 years of professional experience with cross platform Mobile framework (Cordova Ionic, React Native, Flutter)
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Deployment
  • Familiarity with writing clean and testable code as well as unit tests
  • Experience or familiarity with some of these terms: Android Studio, Git, RxJava, Dagger 2, Retrofit
  • Experience working with both local and international clients
  • A desire for research and improvement of current development processes and code architecture
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Excellent English knowledge
  • A good debugging and code review routine
