Job Description

Essential Duties:

  • Fully automate creation of environments for development, testing, and sales engineering
  • Develop and implement automation solutions which work on-premise and across Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud
  • Work closely with the development and QA groups to support, improve, and integrate automated solutions into automation frameworks
  • Automate configuration of various big data distributions such as Cloudera, HDP, or EMR and their various components such as Hadoop, Spark, Ranger, Sentry, etc.
  • Ensure automated solutions are always up to date with the latest underlying component distributions so that we are always testing on the very latest platforms before they become generally available
Required Skills:
  • 5 years experience in a technology infrastructure, DevOps or software engineering
  • 5 years relevant DevOps experience using Ansible and Jenkins
  • 2 years relevant experience automation solution across multiple cloud environments
  • Experience with popular DevOps scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripts
  • Experience with GIT source code control systems
  • Strong software engineering and test experience
Desired Experience/skills:
  • Previous experience with Big Data platforms such as Hadoop, Cloudera, Horton Data Platform, Amazon EMR or Microsoft HDInsights strongly desired
  • Experience with technologies such as Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience automating VMWare on-premise platforms
Education:
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar
