This is a senior development management role within Sahasra Advisory Agency with global responsibility for a Projects Execution. Responsible for Engineering/ Development for many such projects. The Head of Development is directly accountable for the management of the engineering team and for the delivery of new Projects., products and releases according to roadmaps . The head of Development should also expect to communicate directly with other functions within SAA (sales, pre- sales, services and support) as well as with key customers. Key requirements and experience: 1.Strong technical development manager: understands and has managed projects across a range of development environments; uses Agile methodology; has a software product mindset; is obsessive about quality. Understands the difference between working for a software company and an in- house IT department. Track record of delivering clean and working designs and architectures for large- scale projects 2.Hands- on: excellent knowledge of C++ or Java or PHP; familiarity with distributed systems, service architectures and infrastructural dependencies 3.Results- oriented: tenacious, gets things done 4.Excellent manager: able to build and manage a world class team 5.Excellent cross- group collaboration skills with the ability to work across functional areas and geographies 6.Strong written and verbal communication skills Skills/ Requirements Bachelors degree in engineering from a good university Relevant post- graduate qualification in technology or financial markets would be helpful Must have worked for an enterprise software company Retial, Education markets domain knowledge would be an advantage but is not essential ,
