As part of our Technology drive, we are looking for on-board talented and passionate people (Full Stack Engineers, Product Leaders, Cyber Experts, Data Buffs, Architects) across multiple locations including India, Romania, parts of Europe and North America. , *As Director, Software Engineering, you will provide technology leadership, guiding architectural and design decisions for one of our Global Business Areas: Resilience . As a leader, you will deliver and support multiple aspects of our various solutions and products that contribute directly to our purpose of Improving Quality of Life . The bread and depth of solutions and products will mandate deep knowledge, expertise as well as experience in a diverse set of technologies Cloud, Data, full-stack software engineering, AI/ML, and Pipelines. This role requires you to be a key point person, interfacing with global teams (Product, Solution, and Services) working on various initiatives associated with the Resilience domain. You must be able to provide career coaching and support for team members to develop their technical, business, and professional skills. You will be able to identify and remove impediments, while successfully driving towards key initiatives. Building and maintaining strong relationships and earning and maintaining confidence with both customers and business leaders are critically important responsibilities for this role. The ideal candidate may be located anywhere within India, the United States, or Europe and should be able to travel internationally up to 25%.Sit at the intersection of software development, design, and business strategy. PMs shape high-level product goals but also get their hands dirty. On an average day, you might pitch a concept to senior leadership, create a launch plan with marketing, work with designers to conduct user research, prototype a new feature, iterate on a spec, analyze usage data, and pair with an engineer on implementation. PMs have ultimate responsibility for understanding our client needs, influencing business strategy, feature specification, and working with engineering to develop our software.Who you are and what defines you

You have total ownership of understanding the Product roadmap, feature specification, and leading software engineering teams that are responsible to develop and deliver software.
• As a Director, Software engineering, you shape the key architecture and design decisions but also get your hands dirty in real delivery and craftmanship of code.

• Experience and expertise in building and leading a large software engineering team across the globe to develop and rapid delivery of platform, services, and solution capabilities
• Your technical leadership includes the ability to inspire, influence, hire and mentor the young and talented team

What you will own

• Providing technical expertise and leading a global team of software engineers, responsible for building platforms, API, and cloud-native applications based on Microservice architecture
• As part of the Technology Leadership team, collaborate with your peers to lead various strategy imperatives across different regions as well as business domains
• Articulating and communication technology concepts to business leaders, as well as business concepts to technologists and software engineers
• Building and leading a large team in the development and rapid delivery of platform capabilities
• Monitor and manage all activities and critical path tasks to ensure on-time solution delivery and cross-team, cross-organizational coordination and communication
• Build and maintain internal and external relationships at all levels - from engineers to executives
• Act as a self-starter able to work in a fast pace environment and can work independently on complex problems and collaborate across cross-functional teams

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Computers, Software and/or its equivalent
• 15+ years experience in Architecture, Design, and full life cycle software development and engineering
• 10+ years building and leading software engineering teams
• 5+ years experience in Agile practices and/or DevOps
• 3+ years in building and delivering cloud-native application (pref. Microsoft Azure)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters Degree
• Experience in working on products and solutions like Digital Twin, IIoT, CO2 footprint etc
• Experience in consulting, product and/or AEC industry
• Hands-on active coding experience is an added advantage
