eDrive System SiL Validation Engineer

Job Description

* Title eDrive System SiL validation engineer Responsibilities - Validate system level functionalities of Battery-Electric-Vehicle s (BEV) electric powertrain in Software-in-Loop (SiL) environment- Create Test specification, Test Scripts, Test Executions and Test plan according to the product, customer, quality and legal requirements- Analysis simulink models to understand functionalities- Provide testing results- Report defects and perform rootcause analysis- Analysis field car issues and provide analysis- Whenever needed, use process innovation and automation- Customize SiL-setups to suit testing needs Responsibilities - Works as a fully contributing team member with independent planning & execution responsibilities- Applies own judgement to independently determine a course of action, which is then executed independently post review- Troubleshooting issues quickly and supporting the team to identify the root cause - Tangible contribution to Innovation(Product/Process/Business/Paper/Publication/Patents)- Bring in ideas for process/efficiency improvements- Mentoring & Coaching new joiners Job Specification Designation : Engineer[T9]/Senior Engineer [T8] Experience : 2 to 5 years Employment Type : Permanent Education : UG [B.Tech/B.E.] (ECE,EEE), orPG [M.Tech/M.E.] (Mechatronics or any specialisation) Role : eDrive System Validation Engineer (Automotive) Project : SiL eDrive SiL Validation Business Unit : Mercedes Benz Cars Electric Powertrain Technical Skills - Experience in a) Validation of automotive electric powertrain functions in SiLb) Development of test specification, test scripting, test execution, test reporting and defect managementc) Functional understanding of automotive systems and technologiesd) Automation using python/matlabe) Simulink model understanding and debugging- Knowledge on a) Protocols : CAN/ Ethernet/ LIN/ UDS/Flexrayb) Topics : Electric vehicle, electric powertrain, SiL, JENKINSc) Automotive components : Transmission, electric Drive System, battery, Inverters, Chargers, HV Components etc. Nice to Have
1. Prior experience in SiL validation of electric powertrain system
