ENGINEER II, SIGNAL INTEGRITYIndiaPosition SummarySummary of position: The Engineer will be part of a central Signal Integrity Engineering team responsible for facilitating product quality and reliability through analysis of high speed digital designs and power distribution networks while ensuring product time to market. The Engineer will partner with Rockwell Automation s system architect, logic design, ASIC development, CAD engineering teams globally. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate good engineering judgment. Responsibilities: Perform pre- and post-route signal integrity analysis of high speed designs Model acquisition, verification and correction Generate and verify PCB layout rules Perform static timing analysis of synchronous interfaces Perform DC and AC Power Integrity Analysis Work with design teams to evaluate design tradeoffs for design optimization considering performance, cost and manufacturability requirements Perform lab measurements for design validation and simulation correlations Manage small and medium complexity projects with minimal supervision Recommend process improvements to increase team capabilities and efficiency QualificationsQualification and Experience: Bachelor or Master Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent 2 years of high speed digital design experience 4-6 years of System and Printed Circuit Board level Signal and Power Integrity Simulation and Analysis experience Solid understanding of Electromagnetics and Transmission line theory Hands-on experience with SI/ PI simulation and analysis tool from Mentor Graphics (e. g. , HyperLynx-SI/ PI, HyperLynx-DRC) Hands-on experience with Schematic capture and PCB Layout tool from Mentor Graphics Experience with crosstalk and timing analysis Experience with Model acquisition, verification and correction Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as high-bandwidth oscilloscope, Time Domain Reflectometer, Vector Network Analyzer Ability to work in a diverse, cross-functional and global team Excellent written and oral communication skill Strong interpersonal skill Preferred QualificationsDiploma or B. S. in Electrical Engineering Minimum of five years of electronic design and electronic packaging experience. Hands on design experience with computer-aided (CAD) tools, methods for PCB design, auto routers, crosstalk analysis, impedance matching, documentation and automated design rule checking. Proficiency in communication of technical and business ideas through engineering drawings as well as written and spoken English. Minimum of three year Mentor DxDesigner/ Expedition or equivalent software package experience preferred. Two year of experience with Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) systems, preferably SAP.
