Job Description

In a typical day as a you would,

  • Provide direct and ongoing leadership for a team of individual contributors designing and developing remote manageability roadmap features, enhancements, resolving critical issues found by customers and partners in the field
  • Participate in the definition of product roadmap with innovative ideas, enhancements, collaborating with Product Management, Marketing, Support and senior leadership team.
  • Accountable for deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and product roadmaps.
  • Communicate project status and escalates issues to direct managers, program managers, and internal and external development partners.
  • Manage relationships with peer project managers, Architects, upstream and downstream partners and other functions (like support, marketing, product management, manufacturing, documentation etc.,), including setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs; ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with global teams.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement, design or code optimizations, innovative ideas and road map influence opportunities.
  • Provide leadership to the team of engineers by setting and tracking performance goals, giving feedback and continuous coaching, giving career development directions, planning competency development etc. He/she is responsible for providing a work environment that is conducive to developing and retaining an energetic and engaged work force.
You have:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • Minimum 12-17 years experience with an understanding of the server manageability domain in specific and server industry in general.
  • Ability to challenge Status quo
  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience in doing People Management responsibilities.
  • People leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, developing technical talent and conflict resolution.
  • Technically Hands on and able to guide the team.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards like Redfish, PLDM, IPMI
  • Advanced business acumen, technical knowledge, and extensive knowledge in Embedded systems, firmware and server manageability technologies.
  • Advanced project management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
