About the Role:We are seeking an experienced ETL / Database Test Engineer to join our QA team. The role requires expertise in testing data pipelines, ETL processes, and database systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and performance of large-scale data solutions.Key Responsibilities:
• Perform ETL and database testing to validate data integrity, accuracy, and transformation rules.
• Write and execute complex SQL queries for data validation.
• Work closely with data engineers and business analysts to understand mapping documents and requirements.
• Conduct functional, regression, performance, and integration testing for data systems.
• Validate ETL jobs, data migrations, and transformations across multiple environments.
• Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ETL processes.
• Identify, log, and track defects; collaborate with teams for resolution.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, data governance, and reporting requirements.
Skills & Requirements:
• Strong SQL skills (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, or similar).
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS, etc.).
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, OLAP, OLTP, and BI tools.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting.
• Experience in automation testing of ETL processes is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 37 years of relevant experience in ETL / DB testing.
