Job Description

Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements. This person will have a dual reporting line to the Controller (Director) in finance and the Regional APAC Finance LeaderThis position is an exciting and new opportunity that is currently part of Medtronic and will move to a to-be-named company we are calling NewCo . NewCo will be an independent company with equal partners, Medtronic & DaVita. It will be established in calendar 2023 as a new company (NewCo) formed from Medtronic s Renal Care Solutions Operating Unit focused on providing innovative technologies to support kidney care patients. While you will start your employment with Medtronic, upon establishment of NewCo your employment will transfer to NewCo and you will no longer be employed by Medtronic.NewCo is uniquely poised to transform renal care and dialysis, building on Medtronic s innovation and technology pipeline. The business will have the singular focus, financial commitment, deep domain expertise, and global footprint needed to accelerate the development and commercialization of affordable and scalable life-saving renal care technologies particularly our transformative home dialysis platform technologies.A Day in the Life
    • Provide analytical and business partnering support & insights to optimize performance, including financial statement analysis, KPIs, business performance commentary, and forecasting to various levels of management
    • Responsible for building a strong governance & control framework, financial operations, working capital and cash flow management, and Capex management
    • Responsible for all internal controls, support statutory audit and corporate audit in those areas
    • Preparing monthly/quarterly/ yearly reports, preparation of the strategic plans and the annual operating plan
    • Routinely communicate financial and operational performance trends, historical and forecast, using appropriate metrics. Suggest trends, resulting implications, key actions, and strategic implications.
    • Lead scenario modeling efforts for the development and growth of the portfolio, participate as a key thought leader, influencing decision making and prioritization of initiatives
    • Influence the accuracy and effectiveness of the corporate accounting consolidation and closing process and treasury operations through analytical review and trend analysis
    • Develop and execute processes to allow for routine analytical reviews of company financial and operational performance, leveraging business unit analytical resources and tools
    • Understanding of the local taxation laws (Companies Act, Income Tax Act etc) and ability to understand transfer pricing concepts and its implications
    • Participate in the RCS leadership meeting and provide the technical and non-technical guidance for smooth operation
    • Presentations in QBR s related to finance to the Sr leadership who operated from US
    • Support R&D organization on CAPEX and other financial analysis for business decisions. Provide guidance and Influence the Sr. Leadership
    • Participate in negotiation for large buying s and any strategic partnership engagements
    • Drive QMS for supply chain function and provide guidance in external and internal audits.

    Must Have: Minimum RequirementsExperience and Knowledge & Qualifications:
    • 7-10 years of finance and accounting experience with progressive responsibility, especially with exposure to international operations and R&D preferably
    • Commercial experience is preferred
    • Strong, professional communication and writing skills
    • SAP experience
    • Prior experience with transfer pricing, direct & indirect taxation
    • Supply Chain / Logistic over seeing experience and provide guidance
    • Overseeing the admin / Facility function

    Experience and Knowledge & Qualifications:
    • Bachelor s degree in accounting, finance, or related fields
    • 07-10 years of finance and accounting experience with progressive responsibility, especially with exposure to international operations and R&D preferably
    • CA with experience in independently handle Statutory Audit and Tax related compliances.
    • Commercial experience is preferred
    • Strong, professional communication and writing skills
    • SAP experience
    • Prior experience with transfer pricing, direct & indirect taxation
    • Supply Chain / Logistic over seeing experience and provide guidance
    Nice to Have
    • Master s degree in accounting, finance, or related fields. CPA, CMA, MBA or other professional certification in accounting and finance is preferred.
