InDev is an India- based consulting and advisory services firm with a mission to catalyze inclusive development. It provides high impact consulting and advisory services in the inclusive development and financial inclusion sectors. About the Job: InDev is seeking a Financial Analyst. This position is based in Bangalore, India. S/ he will report to the VP - Solutions Consulting of the organization. S/ he will work on the financial and business analysis of solutions that have been implemented or will be implemented by InDev and / or InDevs client organisations across livelihoods, financial inclusion, healthcare, energy and education sectors. S/ he will develop the financial and business model for the long term sustainability of the solutions, including the financial projections for the expenses, revenue sources and funding sources involved. S/ he will review and refine existing financial projections and business plans of client organisations, where such projections and plans are existing. S/ he will create from scratch the financial projections and business plans of client organisations, where such projections and plans are not existing. S/ he will lead the planning and forecasting for InDev and InDevs client organisations. S/ he will lead the development of the annual budget and schedules along with the drivers/ assumptions, summary outputs for presentation purposes, and other management analyses, etc. S/ he will review, analyse and refine budgets, financial projections and business plans of client organisations. S/ he will carry out analyses of variations in budgets, financial projections and business plans. S/ he will derive and analyse trends and patterns for coming up with recommendations regarding course correction measures as needed. For InDevs partner organisations interested in impact investments, s/ he will assist in due diligence and preparation of investment memorandums and assist in management of the investments as appropriate. Tasks and Responsibilities: - Develop and finalise the financial projections and business plans for InDev and InDevs client organisations; - Work with select partner institutions, reviewing and refining the financial and business models for those institutions; - Come up with own ideas and identify promising concepts / ideas related to financial / business models, and define / refine the solutions for implementation at the client organisations. - Assess client organisations- and projects- overall performance and recommend refinements to improve end outcomes; - Carry out research and analysis on industry sector best practices related to financial planning and forecasting, and implement relevant best practices at InDev and InDevs client organisations. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree required. MBA preferred; - Preferred more than 3 years of overall experience, with more than 1 year of experience in social sector / development sector and/ or consulting; - Demonstrated financial and analytical skills; - Proficient with Excel and similar / relevant financial analysis tools; - Proficient with Word, Powerpoint and similar documentation tools; - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; - Fluency in English. Proficiency in multiple Indian languages strongly preferred; - Comfortable with moderate travel - up to 20% of the time. ,
