Job Description

I. Purpose of PositionAs a member of the Software Engineering team, the Firmware Engineer will help build the core functionality hubodometer platform. If you are passionate about developing secure and robust firmware for smart and connected products, we would like to meet you!II. Key Responsibilities

  1. Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release, and support).
  2. Produce fully functional firmware by writing clean code.
  3. Gather specific requirements and suggest solutions
  4. Liaise with the Product development team to plan new features.
  5. Write clear and succinct documentation.
  6. Work effectively in a globally dispersed team.
III. Relationships
  1. Reports to Engineering Manager, IDC
  2. Interacts with Engineers, Engineering Manager, and Product Owners.
  3. Interacts with intercompany entities within the Hengstler-Dynapar group including Dynapar, Hengstler China, Hengstler Latin America, etc.
IV. Background and Skill
  1. Bachelor s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field
  2. Experience: 2+ years.
  3. Strong C programming skills and hands-on experience developing firmware for microcontrollers bare-metal and RTOS
  4. Experience developing firmware for wireless modules Bluetooth, LTE.
  5. Ability to read schematics and understand basic electrical circuits and comfortable using lab equipment multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
  6. Experience with configuration management tools like bitbucket and git, Agile Project Management tools like Jira.
  7. Good to have:
    1. Experience working with Zephyr RTOS.
    2. Familiarity with Nordic chip Set.
