Job Description

Dear Candidate,Greetings of the day!we have opening for Frontend LeadJob descriptionOur client is a data sourcing and analytics platform that helps marketers with a dashboard consisting of insights and data from all sources. It enables the users with a seamless browser experience, where it also allows the users to request data from different sources which gets transformed into interactive visualisations. It eventually helps the marketing teams to find answers to their web traffic RoI related questions.The team is a young group of tech experts and alumni from IIM and IIT. Based out of California and Bengaluru, their clients include one of the most well known ecommerce sites, a global E-learning company and a prominent interiors brand.As aFrontend Lead, you will be a lead who can mentor the team on performance and scale, while working on complex interfaces and ensuring excellent tech performances.What you will do:

  • Understanding the data flow and familiarising with the app components
  • Working on one feature/ task like updating something that touches majority of the app -this is again aimed to get familiarity with the whole codebase in the quickest way
  • Synchronising the data pipelines by adopting better serialisation protocols
  • Creating avenues to improve app performance (by profiling and benchmarking)
  • Understanding fundamentals of Application Design and also design/ architect applications from scratch.
  • Working on large-scale applications, and setup /maintain its data pipelines (data flows from backend to frontend)
  • Architecting efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications
Required Candidate profileWhat you need to have:
  • 3+ years of JavaScript experience, including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, types.
  • HTML/CSS experience, including concepts like layout, specificity, cross browser compatibility, and accessibility
  • Experience with browser APIs and optimizing frontend performance
  • Previous experience with dashboard apps, charts framework, window virtualisation
  • Has written Generators for project setup
  • Comfortable with tech like Postgres, Docker, Rails
  • Understands tooling like Webpack, Babel
  • Experience with React and Typescript is preferable but not necessary.
  • Engineer at heart: You thrive on writing great code and have a strong appreciation for modular, testable and maintainable code, and make sure to document it. You have the ability to take new initiatives and questioning status quo.
  • Passion & Driveto learn and excel: You believe in our vision. You drive the product for the better, always looking to improve things, and soon become the go-to person to talk to on something that you mastered along. You love dabbling in your own side-projects and learning new skills that are not necessarily part of your normal day job.

  • Ownership: You are your own manager. You have the ability to implemen engineering tasks on your own without a need for micro-management and take responsibility for any task that has been assigned to you.

  • Open Source Contribution: A huge bonus.
