As a Marketing Web Developer, you will play a key role in driving the future of our online website presence by bringing your skills in solving process and development challenges and an excitement for delivering great user experiences. This position requires a combination of programming skills (namely PHP, HTML5, CSS/SASS, and JavaScript) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen, the color and font choices, and so on). The candidate should have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems. Experience with responsive and adaptive design is a must. Also, an understanding of the agile web development process, including design, development, and deployment is preferred.As a Full Stack Developer, you should be very comfortable around both frontend and backend coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries/plugins and have familiarity with WordPresss internal APIs such as WP_Query, Shortcodes, WP REST API. You should also be a team player with a knack for form pixel perfect design and methodically designed user experiences.If you are also familiar with Agile methodologies, we would like to meet you.Duties And ResponsibilitiesKey Full Stack Developer duties include:
• Participating in the design and creation of scalable websites with WordPress
• Convert static design into responsive HTML and CSS, and integrating into a dynamic website via PHP and JS
• Developing custom WordPress Themes/Plugins, Core/Plugin updates.
• Writing clean, well-commented, functional code on the front and backend
• Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues
• Being versatile, accommodating and willing to think collectively outside-of-the-box
Additional Responsibilities
• Work with development teams and digital producers to ideate building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
• Design client-side and server-side architecture
• Build the frontend of applications through appealing visual design
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
• Write effective APIs
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
• Create security and data protection settings
Qualifications
• 8-10 years experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
• Experience developing in WordPress
• Knowledge of multiple frontend languages and libraries (HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
• Knowledge of multiple backend languages (C#, JSON, Python) and databases (MySQL)
• Familiarity with web servers and managed hosting (Apache, AWS, WP Engine, etc.)
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Git)
• Familiarity with UX best practices, content modeling, and tools of the trade (e.g., Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, etc.)
• Knowledge of website security, WAF and other security-based tools
• Experience or knowledge of different content management systems and their capabilities will be a plus
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
