  • This role in Global Banking Technology is within CLDM for the position of Full stack Java engineer.
  • Position will be key to strategic programme to deliver an integrated operating model for full client life-cycle management covering on-boarding, financial market regulation, tax regulation, client due diligence, entity client data management, client maintenance, and offboarding
  1. Independently contribute to design & development of technology solutions
  2. Improve code quality statistics, participate/drive code reviews and continuously reduce technical debt
  3. Study existing engineering processes and contribute to improvements to drive up efficiencies
  4. Collaborate with teams globally to deliver, present ideas and innovate
  5. Model behaviours that facilitate Agile delivery
  6. Exhibit passion for client experience with a user-first mindset
Preferred Candidate Profile:
  • Ideal candidate must have proven credentials of delivering in world class engineering teams.
  • With a bachelor s degree in Computer Science, engineering or equivalent discipline, he/she must have relevant experience fulfilling responsibilities of the position. Must be a confident self-starter with ability to collaborate and devise solutions.
  • Relevant industry certifications are an added plus. Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks is required.
Core Competencies:1. Strongly Desired competencies:Strong foundational knowledge on object oriented analysis and design, with hands-on skills in Java 1.7 & 1.8Strong experience in open source frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, OpenJPA, QueryDSL, AOP & JTA Transaction Management and Apache Libraries (Camel/ActiveMQ/Commons)Strong Experience in application integration using Web Service (SOAP/REST) or Messaging using JMSGood knowledge in dependency injections like Spring DI/Blueprints and JSON libraries like Jackson/GSONHands-on knowledge in application servers/containers JBoss FuseWorking knowledge of one or more of UI/UX frameworks like EmberJS, ReactJS, Angular JS or Advanced JavaScriptingHands-on knowledge in Oracle and SQLApplication performance tuning, application performance analysis and tuning, analysing performance metricsHands-on experience on Linux/Unix environmentsExperience with automated unit testing; jUnit, Mockito or comparable2. Preferred competencies:Hands-on skills in J2EE specifications like JAX-RS, JAX-WSExperience on tools like Jenkins/Go-CD, Git/Stash, JIRA, Maven, NodeJSStrong in Oracle or SQL Server PL/SQL development and designing data model.Web services, API design, Defining Specification using swagger/RAML.Dev Ops Tools and CI/CD Processes Jenkins, Git, GitFlow, Jira, BitBucket etc.Knowledge of microservices architectureUnderstanding of continuous build concept and usage with maven, sonarqube or other related toolsExperience with No SQL.Experience with automated test configuration.Good to have experience in containerization technologies - Docker, KubernetesExperience in distributed technologies e.g. Kafka, Apache MQ, RabbitMQ etc will be added advantage,
