Job Description

*Profile Description - Functional Safety Principle EngineerYou plan and track the Functional Safety Activities on SW level according to ISO-26262 and define and adopt development processes and pratices. You design and develop the Functional Safety Concept on SW level based on the Safety Requirements from System level and the SW Architecture. You perform Functional Safety analysis on SW level and integrate the results in the Functional Safety lifecycle. You moderate, guide, and harmonize between developer and management to argument risk evaluations and Functional Safety decisions.Required Competencies:

  • FS Certification Level 2/3
  • Degree in SW Engineering (Masters preferred)
  • 8-12 years of experience in Product SW Development
  • A minimum of 4 years of Functional Safety Experience (System and/or SW) according to ISO-26262
  • Profound knowledge in agile paradigm, process creation & quality standards
  • Provable results in systems engineering, i.e. in design and implementation of complex, distributed applications, services and processes
  • Experience in balancing the needs of both internal customers to implemen large- scale software solutions
  • Understanding of vehicle-related technologies and standards (e.g. CAN or AUTOSAR) is a plus Experience in development of in-vehicle hardware or software Understanding automotive network technology, vehicle communication and underlying constraints Fluent in German and English
  • Driver Authorisation for driving Test cars Willingness and ability to travel
