Responsibilities involve design and development of the Kernel mode Windows driver for features of the Gfx hardware, primarily Display features using C/C++. This position requires involvement in all phases of design from pre-silicon emulation/simulation through post-silicon product launch, covering aspects of functionality, power and performance and debuggability. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with multiple teams such as OS (MSFT), BIOS, HW, Customer Engineering, multiple Graphics SW teams, etc. The individual is expected to work with various partners and teams to resolve issues as well as recommend future hardware and software improvements. The individual must demonstrate the ability to effectively work with cross-geo teams of software development / validation engineers, Graphics Hardware Architect/Designers, product validation, customer engineering teams to productize and innovate cutting edge graphics features.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree with 4-6 years experience or Masters degree with 2+ years of software development experience is required. Degree should be Computer Engineering, Computer Science or in Electrical Engineering. Strong experience with graphic drivers, GPU hardware and low level GPU programming. Experience developing user/kernel-mode device drivers on Windows OS, knowledge of WDDM and relevant kernel experience Experience in C / C++ software product development, ability to understand HW and relevant specifications needed to develop/validate the software Experience with developing test plans / strategy and test automation using Python or other scripting languages Experience working in systems (hardware/software) product development teams Experience in applying project management methodologies and tools within the software development lifecycle Strong attention to technical detail, data analysis, documentation and problem solving skills Preferred Qualifications: Extensive experience in one or more of the following areas 3D graphics programming via DirectX or OpenGL Familiarity with graphics, video and/or display technologies such as embedded DisplayPort/DisplayPort, MIPI DSI, and HDMI Memory management, scheduler, virtualization and other components of kernel mode driver Knowledge and development experience in PythonInside this Business GroupIntel Architecture, Graphics, and Software (IAGS) brings Intels technical strategy to life.
