Job Description

  • As Netcool Event Management Developer, you are responsible develop event management solutions on Netcool Omnibus, Impact and DB2 as the platforms and integrating it with other products such as IBM Tivoli Monitoring v6 (ITM6), Science Logic, SolarWinds, BlueCARE, ISM/ICD, SNOW, and NEXT/Ansible. As part of development team, you will participate in requirement analysis, design, development, testing, production support, and documentation of the solution.
Responsibilities:
  • Work in a client environment, manage monitoring & event management tools (ITM, ITCAM & Netcool)
  • Work with IT and Business users to resolve support and technical issues.
  • Understand client Business requirements and suggests solutions.
  • Provide technical inputs to stabilize & optimize the deployed Tools.
  • Work with Product team to upgrade versions & fix bugs.
  • Able to provide training to end-users/IT teams & create technical SOPs/training manuals,
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • At least 5 years of experience in Netcool Omnibus and Netcool Impact with ability to install, configure, and administer the product
  • Experience developing Omnibus probes/triggers/signals and Impact policies with Java Scripts
  • Proficient in developing Perl scripts and Shell scripts. working with DB2 and SQL and experience in Java scripts, Java, JSP, Spring, and WAS
  • Expertise in AIX and Linux platforms along with basic knowledge of monitoring tools
  • Working experience in Ticketing systems and experience in software development lifecycle
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Good knowledge of ITIL framework and IT automations
  • Familiar with Rational tools (RTC, RRC, RQM) and GIT for work items tracking, source control, and testing
  • Familiarity with DevOps and UCD, ITM6/IPM8 and Science Logic
  • Experience with Global Systems Management Architecture (GSMA) and GSMA Event Management
  • You love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies
  • Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work
  • Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management
