Job Description

    *.Job descriptionThe DBA is a member of the Database team responsible for designing and maintaining environments with oracle, mysql and redshift databases with a rotational shift of 18*5 along with on-call support. Skills - Must Have:- Expert understanding of Oracle Database best practices and internal- Amazon oracle and MySql RDS database experience.- Experience on Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.- Database patching.- Performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain the databases. - Install new versions of the Oracle RDBMS and its tools.- Physical standby database concepts.- Database object level locks concepts and dead lock.- Database user management.- Tablespace management.- Oracle Wallet concepts and how to create oracle wallet i.e understanding of oracle utility orapki.- Logical backup such as expdp and impdp is must.- Oracle database indexing.- Database Migration experience.- Good knowledge of Oracle RMAN and other backup and recovery scenarios.- Wallet Configuration/security patches installation.- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager.- Performance tuning & troubleshooting. Ability to troubleshoot Oracle database performance issues and SQL query (Analytical thinking)- OS - Unix/Linux exposure to DB.- Ability to work independently with various users/developers across the globe.- Excellent communication skills.Responsibilities:- Design, support and troubleshoot administrate oracle databases along with mysql and Amazon redshift- Provide technical support to application development teams.- make sure production and standby databases in sync.- Make sure the backup of all databases are healthy.- Evaluates releases of Oracle and its tools, and third party products to ensure that the site is running.- Planning is also performed by the DBA, along with the application developers and System administrators, to ensure that any new product usage or release upgrade takes place with minimal impact.- To be able to patch all the prod databases on demand from customer with minimal downtime.- Provides technical support to application development teams.- To be able to troubleshoot user related issues independently.- Assists with impact analysis of any changes made to the database objects.- To be available for support in case of needed for extra apart from shift hours.- Need to work on the daily task comes from business users and developers.,
