ALSTOM - INFORMATION SYSTEMS & TECHNOLOGY: Alstom IS&T is a corporate organization composed of multiple pillars. That position is located under the Business Solutions pillar, in charge of global architecture of Alstom IT solutions, as well as deploying, and maintaining it. Within Business Solutions, the ERP Program Director oversees the ERP solution tower, where central ERP solutions lifecycle is managed, including its applicative landscape such as manufacturing execution system, and supplier collaborations solutions. Business Operations is divided into 3 streams: Supply Chain, Purchasing & Quality, Manufacturing.As part of the Business Operations domain, you will report to the Head of Manufacturing Solutions. This position qualifies as Test and commissioning (T&C) technical specialist; as such:
• You will take part to a renewal project (renewing our legacy application), from the design to the go live, which will primarily rely on Apriso backbone, but will also require close integration points with varied applications & platforms. This will be a multi-year s project, whose final goal is to roll-out a modernized solution for our T&C business on all our plants around the world. You will be our technical internal expert; as such, you will be asked to understand fully all technical details and either realize some developments yourself, or control developments made by our subcontractor(s), depending on the platform(s) / technologies involved.
• Also in parallel, for our legacy application (which will be replaced over the next years), you will be our SPOC on IS&T side, directly facing our application Business Process Owner and working with our service partner. Your tasks will mainly be to check that our operations are running smoothly (no change planned on our legacy application, since we are replacing it) and be the link between the Business experts and our development partner.
This position is based in Bangalore. You will join an international team and collaborate actively with many different stakeholders (key users, regional process expert, Business process owner, solutions experts from all IS&T towers, Support teams, data et development factory). English language in a multicultural environment is a must. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: OVERALL: The Manufacturing Test and commissioning technical specialist is part of the Manufacturing Core team. He is very closely working in connection with the MES-Apriso community since Test & Commissioning has similar patterns and needs with pure Manufacturing execution. He will be overlooking three main types of activities: support (Run), project, release. Main contributions are expected both on Project and Release tasks; but checking support incidents is also part of the job. We are looking for a candidate with a significant developer background on Delmia-Apriso platform with proven track records on: IOT integration to MES backbone, OPC servers; Understanding and practice of offline / online modes. This position also requires the capability to understand network and security constraints, both on the office as well as on the shopfloor networks. In addition to Apriso knowledge, it will be a plus for the candidate to demonstrate development skills on multiple types of modern platforms like (examples): C#, Javascript Knowledge of Discrete Manufacturing is a plus. Having been thru application modernization projects in the past is also a plus. RESPONSIBILITIES : As our T&C technical specialist, you will be in charge of your functional scope to :
• Assess new functional needs and define an adequate technical solution under the Apriso Backbone (decided for the renewal project)
• Develop the designed solution by yourself or control its realization by a 3rd party
• Explain to our business counterparts, how new developed features work
• Assist our business team in testing end to end flows
You will also be asked to:
• Monitor the inflows of incidents going thru our support team
FUNCTIONAL SCOPE : Your Functional scope includes following business processes:
• Definition of tests plan and steps
• Connectivity with the Train network to get or push variables (IOT integration)
• Any business function which is part of T&C activities: activity tracking, dashboarding.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS : BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES : You are an action-oriented person with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You are a self-starter and result-oriented person. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills are a must because you will need to work autonomously in a worldwide & multicultural environment. You should be agile to handle multiple tasks efficiently, keeping the big picture, and effectively delivering outcomes in a fast-paced environment.TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Graduated with an engineering degree, you have more than 5 years of experience in Apriso manufacturing solutions (Delmia MOM BPM - level 1 or above appreciated) and development background. Development skills (general): GitLab DevOps, Eclipse4/RCP, Apache Tomcat 7, XML, HTML, C#, Javascript Apriso platform:
• Apriso version 2017 or more recent is needed
• Data base : SQL Server & Queries expertise
• Process Builder, GPM, Business Integrator
Proven hands-on experience thru Apriso rollouts: Process builder, Screen developments, Machine Integrator & OPC serversLanguage skills: English is a must, both spoken and written.
