5.0 Year(s) To 9.0 Year(s)Please find below Job Description of Netcool.Experience : 5 to 9 yearsPrimary Skills : IBM Netcool Operations Insight, OmnibusJD ;Interacts with customers, vendors and management to ensure high level of customer satisfaction.Acts as technical resource and point of escalation and helps in identifying and resolving complex incidents relating to product /service installation, update, configuration, operations, or performance.Acts as a role model and discharge technical management within a team, guiding a team in providing services in a client , multi-vendor, multi-protocol complex network/system, or infrastructure environment.Performs identification and resolution of complex problems relating to product/service installation, update, configuration, operations, performance, or other aspects of information technology products and services.Possesses a deep knowledge of teams service of offerings, services, technical solutions, and management tools. Accountable as a technical resource and point of escalation for team members.KEY TECHNOLOGIES:IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM): Installation/Configuration of ITM infra components (HTEMS, RTEMS, TEPS and TDW) Good hands on Perl/shell scripting Knowledge on IBM GSMA standards Exposure to p-series ITM agents Exposure to ITCAM suite of agents (MQ/QI, GB, VM etc.)Prior involvement in migration projects would be advantageousKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Installation/Management Installation and configuration of the infrastructure application Installation and configuration of the infrastructure application (TDW, WPA, SPA)Installation and configuration of the enterprise console application Installation of standard rule base Installation and configuration of notification software Installation and configuration of middle ware notification software Installation and configuration of software and/or files for trouble ticketing bridge Customization of event rules to process ticketing bridge subsystem Installation of the monitoring agent Installation of Situation Update Forwarder Customization and configuration of the monitoring application Log file monitoring / ITM Build, configure and deploy monitors Interface with Server Administrators to assist in defining monitor thresholds and severity. Interface monitoring with event notification service Monitor health check output daily Performance Tuning Monitor infrastructure application related statistics Monitor monitoring application related statistics Monitor event console related statistics Define related indicators to monitor Perform tuning based on above information Implementation and maintenance of infrastructure health checks Implementation and maintenance of infrastructure related jobs and automation scripts Implementation and maintenance of agent policies Implementation and maintenance of event console related jobs and automation scripts Implementation and maintenance of scripts to generate report on event status (# events received/opened/closed/parsing errors, etc.)Implementation and maintenance of middleware notification health-checking scripts, jobs and automation scripts Installation and maintenance of agent health checking, log monitoring and agent management maintenance automation Implementation and maintenance of monitoring application related jobs and automation scripts (i.e. health checking)Implementation and maintenance of data collection, summarization, and pruning policies Installation of WebGUI Troubleshoot problems at the infrastructure level, at the monitoring application level, at the event console and notification application level, at the WebGUI tool level Corrective action when infrastructure related monitored levels are below specified limits, when monitoring application related monitored levels are below specified limitswhen event console and/or notification related monitored levels are below specified limits, when WebGUI related monitored levels are below specified limits Perform & participate in Root Cause Analysis as neededOur client is a global IT services and solutions organization offering services in business consulting and technology implementation.
