  • Setup of platforms for capturing requirements
  • Development of automation tools
  • On-prem Infra Support, Troubleshooting skills.
Description:
  • Design, Install, Configure,log, monitor,tune Iaas, PaaS, software platforms on-prem and in clouds end-end to capture the requirements for automation of its deployment
  • Engineer/Develop automation code to automate the deployment using appropriate languages/tools like ansible, terraforms, python etc.
  • Develop and maintain web tools.
  • Maintain and enhance existing tools and codebase, send bugfixes etc
  • Maintain Documentation, configuration and code in github for the same
  • Be able to troubleshoot and support deployments installed using the automation,
  • Find RCA, document procedures and How TOs in a knowledgebase
  • Collaborate with your colleagues around the globe following coherent policies & processes and providing the best support to your internal R&D customers.
Experience and Skills Required:
  • Ansible, terraform and python development skills . Go will be a plus.
  • Web development and maintenance skills to develop web based automation tooling solutions (using e.g., javascript, turbogears, node js etc) for self service portal etc.
  • good systems engineering skills in linux, virtualization, networking, storage, security
  • openstack, Azure/AWS Clouds, cloudnative, kubernetes, Openshift
  • Broad knowledge and experience in cloud and virtualization technologies (OpenStack, KVM, vmware, k8s, ocp)
  • Breadth and depth of knowledge on system technologies, excellent trouble shooting
  • Monitoring/log management tools (Prometheus/Grafana/AppDynamics/CloudWatch/Splunk)
  • Sizing and capacity management at host and pod level.
  • Hardware(ILO,BMC,IPMI), OS configuration and experience along with considerable depth in Linux/RHEL OS configuration.
  • L2/L3 networking knowledge with external switch along with knowledge of SDN,vSwitches/vLans and its working, routing, NAT, firewall etc.
  • Preferably having knowledge of, SDS (ceph, gluster, vSAN, OCS etc)
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor/Master Degree, plus 5 years in IT/Telecoms industry. R&D experience preferred.
  • Experience in working across multiple sites, organizations and cultures
  • Multi-tasking and prioritization skills
