Our current mission is to simplify and modernize our application portfolio and to transform into a fast moving, product-oriented and customer-focused technology organization.The job opening at hand is to fill the position within the R&D IT/ XPPM unit as IT Solution Designer / SW developer. The following describes the job related and required competences.Key tasks and main responsibilities:

• Acts as a technical software solution expert & coach, knows tools, technologies and trends, and has a broad technical and software programming and coding skills and experience from previous projects
• Codes, develops, build and propose technical solutions utilizing existing or new technologies. This includes configuration / customization of underlying layers of Middleware / Database and if it relates to configuration parameters to OS too.
• Tests software or solutions based upon testing specifications and design. Follows applicable agile and/or PM practices. May act as a testing manager in a project having special responsibility for test planning, scheduling and execution management, as well as testing progress follow up and setting up testing environments.
• Captures technical requirements and innovative ideas and translates them into IT requirements. Evaluates possibilities with different technologies and platforms.
• Collaborates with IT Service Owners and Solution Architects to analyze ideas and demands for technology and architectural fit and contributes to cost and benefit analysis
• Collaborates with key stakeholders throughout the organization and ensures terminology used (technical or business) is understood by both business and developers
• Ensures that overall technical solution and architecture is aligned and based on the enterprise architecture
• Analyze and studies complex systems requirements and troubleshoots and resolves issues in existing software or solution.
• Prepares application architectural design (Application, Middleware and Infrastructure (Cloud server dimensioning (type of server and its computing power)) and technical documentation.
• Proactively follows the digital market technologies and trends and innovations - May provide technical guidance for projects or solution designs.
• May also have parallel or supportive project role, e.g. Scrum Master or Development team member in agile projects, for ensuring continues improvement

Focus: Deep knowledge of RHEL, Java application server (JBOSS,Tomcat,Apache), SQL DBs and SQL script.Experienced in configuring, customizing and troubleshooting all layers of SW for complex heterogeneous Applications in house developed and commercial applications.Experienced in managing complex and critical applications on public cloud environment (GCP, AWS, Azure, at least one of those would be preferred) Experienced in setting up and tuning application monitoring.Experienced in understanding of critical information on debug and log files and in taking the right conclusions for related corrective actions to be applied on the application environment.Experienced in performance tuning of complex heterogeneous Applications hosted either on cloud or on premises.Experienced in defining, implementing and maintaining a scalable application environment on public cloud.Experienced in upgrading complex commercial and / or Open Source applicationsExperienced in defining, implementing and maintaining interfaces (mainly through REST-API, but as well through Webmethods EAI (from vendor Software AG) )with other (PPM) solutions.Good knowledge of PPM solutions (Program and Product Management solutions, especially QualityCenter (from vendor Microfocus) and Collaborator(from vendor Smarbear), but also Focalpoint (from vendor Unicom), DOORS (from vendor IBM), DOORS-NEXT (from vendor IBM), Microfocus-PPM) would be beneficial but not mandatory.Knowledge/ experience of setting up and maintaining application integrationsAbility and experience in developing and debugging source code / scripts in a variety of languages (e.g. SQL, Java, .net, Groovy, Python) Competence & Technical Skills
