Mainframe Admin who has exp in implementation, installation,incident mgt, configure mgt, application support Tasks Writing, modifying and scheduling batch jobs Joblog analysis, troubleshooting Coordination of updates (releases) with the relevant departments (customer, platform operations, DB/MW operations, AD/AM teams, .) Preparation, installation and testing of new updates (releases) Management of datasets Participation and coordination of operational testing 2nd/3rd level technical support for related applications Ticket administration and documentation management based on ITIL Complex problem solving: root cause analysis Process enforcement Incident/Problem/Change/Configuration management Active participation in daily/weekly customer meetings Running mission-critical mainframe applications (automotive, banking processes, etc.) Knowledge of IBM industry leading technologies (Mainframe, DB2, WAS and more.) Development and improvement of new standards, processes, methodologies and solutions Automation of operational workflows Regular contact with German and other international customers and colleagues Database-side (DB2) operation, tuning, modification and deployment of data warehouses and related applications in test and live environments DB2 database monitoring, operation, installation and upgrade Database creation, upgrade, migration Database performance monitoring and optimisation Ensuring high availability of databases Requirements and Language Skills knowledge of English B2/C1 profound KnowHow of Mainframe z/OS and related technologies Mainframe DB2 knowledge and experience Mainframe DB2/SQL technical troubleshooting experience Minimum 3-5 years relevant work experience as Mainframe Application Administrator 1-2 years of experience in handling of WAS servers and applications running on Mainframe WAS environments proven programming knowledge in REXX or CLIST Good analytical and combinatorial skills Interest in IT fields Ability to learn quickly, commitment to progress Precision Willingness to work independently, reliability, flexibility Advantages Advanced degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience Knowledge of a complex IT system (Mainframe, Unix/Linux or Windows) ECDL exam, Unix/Linux/Cisco/Microsoft KnowHow in any other Mainframe-relevant programming language Personality Customer centric attitude Team player taking ownership Key Skills: Title Mainframe Application Administrator 6 profiles needed today. only admin .
