Job Description

  • Responding to the evolving regulatory environment and helping to meet the firm s regulatory commitments by addressing internal and external commitments
  • Advancing the firm s Roadmap programs -- Single Sourcing of data, Architecture Convergence, and Rationalization of Platforms
  • Adopting industry leading technologies to support best-in-class business capabilities for high performance computing and data storage solutions
  • Driving innovation across the firm s corporate technology portfolio, increasing efficiencies through process automation, and Agile application development, with an emphasis on user experience and shorter development cycles
  • Investing in security & controls for cyber, access/entitlements uplift, data protection and application resiliency
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical expertise throughout the software lifecycle including design, implementation and delivery.
  • AD Lead for project developer team to ensure they understand, and deliver to business requirements.
  • Partnering with the business to understand use cases, functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Ensure that solutions are delivered within the strategic application framework.
  • Sharing of knowledge with other members of the development team.
  • Experience with developing frameworks that helps increasing developer and release velocity, improving code health and technical standards
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills with clear communication
  • Understanding or have experience with agile methodology
Essential Skills:
  • Advanced experienced JAVA fullstack software developer: Java (backend) + Angular (frontend) + MicroServices + DB Basics + Unix Basics
  • Candidate must have a strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
  • Deep expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Significant experience in Software development
  • Design skills with knowledge of object modelling, database schemas and design patterns.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and a proven track record of performance and delivery.
  • Strong communication and team-working skills.
  • Agile or other development techniques, gained in a Java development environment.
  • Experience with new and emerging technologies such as cloud and virtualization
  • Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals
  • Self-starter able to handle multiple concurrent initiatives
Desirable Skills:
  • Deep functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Services call (REST, SOAP, etc .)
  • Knowledge in security vulnerability and ensuring the code is clean from security vulnerabilities
  • Design skills with knowledge of object modelling, database schemas and design patterns.
  • Technologies: JavaEE; React/Redux; Maven; Spring; UNIX
  • Framework/Libraries - Bootstrap, React JS, Kendo, Redux.
