We empower the original mobile device: YOU!What were looking for:You will be a member of the Support Lab Operations team and will be responsible for the maintenance and support of lab system assets, resources, and other third-party software packages of moderate complexity supporting hundreds of internal end-users.Position overviewThis position works on projects requiring technical expertise and is responsible for maintenance cycles, from scheduling through delivery.Role ResponsibilitiesAdministration of 3 regional Canonical Openstack installationsProactively monitor the technical components of the Openstack environmentsReport change in the Operational Openstack environmentImplement operational change, initiative, and project of moderate complexity intended either to increase the efficiency or the robustness of the infrastructureSupport the day to day life of the lab environment, solve end-user issues, answer technical questions, and provision accountsDocument issues resolution, develop Operational GuidelinePerform scheduled Maintenance and general Data Center tasksProvision, configure and automate physical and virtual assetsPatch OS and software according to security standards, maintenance policies, and vendor recommendationsPerform operating system upgrades, capacity planning, and performance analysis of moderate complexityPerform growth analysis in support of expansions and/or upgradesMake recommendation for the technical improvement, procedural changes, and infrastructure within the Lab Operations teamParticipate in peer reviewsBasic Qualifications2 years of directly related work experience is requiredExperience of managing a Canonical Openstack installationExperience with Unix-like operating systemsUnderstanding of networking computing environment conceptsHands-on experience in Canonical Openstack operations requiredBachelor s degree or equivalent in computer science or related field is preferredAbility to work under pressure, solve technical problems, and automate processes and solutions using available toolsPractical experience in the following technical skills:Canonical Openstack infrastructure, MAAS, JujuCeph StorageUbuntu OSPerforming server builds, migrations, upgrades, and patchingPreferred QualificationsIn addition, experience in one or more of the following technical skills is preferredNetwork File SystemLDAPDHCP serverAdministration of hypervisorsWhat you re looking for:Our technology is built on the idea that everyone should be able to work from anywhere, at any time, and on any device.
