As a Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for building and monitoring the logistics and 3PL network to support the Fulfilment centres and Delivery centres. This will include on boarding 3PL vendors and transportation vendors for First mile and the last mile, monitoring the transit time, managing the transit losses, reducing the logistics cost and also streamlining the entire process for future expansion.Primary Performance Indicators.Reduction in Transit time.Reduction in logistics cost.Last mile 3PL performance.Reduction in transit loss.RoleCommercial negotiations with transportation vendors for FTL, LTL and dedicated fleet for the first mile and the last mile transportation requirement.Vendor development for future requirements.Streamline and standardise the vendor on- boarding process.Monitor and manage the transportation network.Reduce the transit time and contribute to the overall TAT reduction.Continuously reduce cost and improve vehicle utilisation.Manage all 3PL engagements, KPIs and grievance.Ensure that the team of 5- 6 people reporting to you are motivated and excited about their role and work.Managing the deliveries and returns from 3PL.Reducing the transit loss across the 3PL and own network.Reconciliation of COD from 3PL vendors for the last mile.Implement, document and improve processes on information flow, vendor on- boarding, escalation handing and other logistics related activities.Requirements3- 5 years in logistics and managing logistics operations.Experience in furniture or white goods logistics would be a plus.Supervision, contract negotiation, 3rd party vendor management, process management, developing standards.Excellent communication and reporting skills.Problem solving and handling stressful and complicated situations.Team management and engagement skills.Qualifying CriteriaEducation: Post Graduate from Tier 1 B- school.Experience (No. of years) : 3 - 5 years in logistics and transportation.
