Software Senior EngineerJoin us as a Software Senior Engineer on our Client Product Group in Bangalore to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.What you ll achieveAs a Software Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development activities associated with software using a range of applicable technologies (e.g., programming languages, compilers, assemblers, debuggers, other tools) for products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs. Analyzes requirements and develops innovative, useful software. Modifies existing software products to add new functions, adapt to new hardware, improve performance or enhance product usability.You will:
• Sustain firmware on embedded controller (MIPS/ARC/ARM core) processors in a single threaded/interrupt driven and in real time OS environment.
• Design and implementation of Embedded Controller Automation Framework/ suites.
• Participate in design and code reviews
• Participate in SDL activities.
• Work on all aspects of software development life cycle (using specifications to assist in design documentation, code development, debugging, validation)
• Collaborating with cross functional teams across the geography in debugging and root cause analysis
• Work with both internal groups and external vendors/partners/ODMs
• Debug/trouble shoot issues with debugger/ITPS, scopes, and logic analyzers.
• Developing unit and integration test scripts as part of code implementation

• 6 to 12 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Experience in programming in C, Embedded Programming in C and C++
• Experience in MIPS/ARC/ARM architecture
• Embedded controller development with both single threaded/interrupt driven and real time OS.
• Assembly experience, Compilers, assemblers, debuggers.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematic diagrams, use ITPs, scopes, and logic analyzers
• Familiar with latest technology (wireless charging, type C) and various HW bus interface (SMBUS, LPC, I2C, PS2, SPI, etc)
• BIOS development a plus (prefer UEFI / DXE / PEI)
• Familiarity with RTOS
• Cultivates, develops and manages strong relationship with team members
• Knowledge in secure embedded product development
• Understanding of software development lifecycle, product development lifecycle, and Agile development methodologies.
Desirable Requirements
• Familiarity with Git
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, as well as with using the Atlassian suite of tools (BitBucket, Bamboo, Jira, and Confluence)
• Knowledge on PC/desktop architecture
• Scripting languages like Python etc
