Job Description

    Overall requirement: This position requires over 12 years of Mainframe IT Infrastructure Services experience. Comprehensive solution design and architecting experience for IBM Mainframe and underlying technologies. Prior working experience or related as Mainframe solution Architect/ Pre-Sales Solution Architect with large IT Service firms or top consulting companies is desirable. Must have exposure to the Design, Build and Run phase of Datacenter engagements specifically Datacenter migrations related to Mainframe platform. Requires working with the sales/presales/account team to create opportunities and development of solutions. Should have the ability to envision and solution for Mainframe Modernization overall with specific focus on infrastructure components. Ability to paint a transformational end state roadmap for the client s Mainframe estate. Will play a lead role in presenting solutions to clients hence the applicable candidate should have sound communication skills with exposure to CXO level discussions. Lead discussions with client and jointly work out best fit strategy and roadmap on the Mainframe legacy architecture ability to drive the client through discussions on their Mainframe modernization journey Qualifications: Qualification: Required: Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience Extensive previous background with IBM Mainframes, including previous experience as a systems programmer supporting complex Mainframe environments Mainframe Servers, Storage - DASD, TAPE, DR, Data Networking & Security. In-depth knowledge of Mainframe IBM and ISV software stacks and related licensing models. In-depth knowledge of Mainframe Hardware (Z12, z13, z14, z15, etc.) Preferred Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Previous experience in infrastructure architecture and solution design Foundational: ITILv3 ITSM Mainframe Storage Platforms and Replication (EMC, IBM, Hitachi, Oracle) Basic concept of Mainframe Sysplex. Exposure to IBM i (AS400/iSeries) environments will be an added advantage,
