Job Description

    Job DescriptionShipping Activities related to ExportsQualificationPost Graduate, preferably in Commerce.Experience10 to 15 years in handling matters relating to DGFT, CustomsDesignationManager - Licensing & Compliance for Exports and ImportsWork LocationGarmenting Corporate office -Yelahanka, BengaluruIndustry PreferenceGarment or Textile IndustryFunctional KnowledgeIndepth knowledge of Foreign Trade Policies and Procedures.Working knowledge of DGFT online protocols in terms of Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 applications, amendments and redemptions.Must possess strong liaising skills with senior Government officers at DGFT, CustomsGood contacts with DGFT both at regional and HQ level is preferred.Must be able to independently advise concerned in correct classification of goods under HSN.Sound knowledge of customs laws and practices including the exemption notificationsInternal controls relating to various exemption notification under Customs laws and timely release of bonds executed with Customs authorities.Must be able to independently correspond with Government agencies befitting corporate practices.Should have worked under ERP (SAP preferred).Good at MS office (Excel Macros preferred).Key ResponsibilitiesAssess and advise management the scheme of exports to derive maximum benefit for the company.Close monitoring of inputs and output to adhere to stipulations of Chapter 4 benefits.Should be able to take decisions in matters relating to license allocations to comply with SION and related issues.Timely submission of licensing applications/redemption applications, effective follow ups and obtaining of Advance Authorization and registering in ports and also obtain EODCs.Effective follow ups with customs authorities for early realization of Duty DrawbackConstantly update management with changes in Government policies and procedures that impact companys workings and also suggest improvements to derive max. benefit for the organization.TraitsBe a team player with a strong orientation for Compliance in terms of Commercial activities.Should be able to lead a team during stretch situations.
