Materials and Manufacturing Engineer Location:Bengaluru, KA, INExxonMobil Job Role SummaryJob Responsibilities:Support company projects and production units with fit- for- purpose review, recommendations, and manufacturing support for equipment design and procurement.Ensure engineering contractor and manufacturer quality and qualifications for supply of raw materials.Communicate risks and opportunities related to materials and manufacturing work.Provide technical support and solutions to Project- related technical issues to project teams and contractors.Support new and existing upstream oil and gas projects with development of specifications, manufacturing procedures, qualification, and testing and inspection criteria for raw materials, including: forgings, pipe, fittings and flanges, castings, structural steel, plate.Engage with raw material suppliers for audits of manufacturing ability and stewarding manufacturing qualification process, and maintaining communication and relationship with existing approved suppliers.Review and understand company technical requirements and steward projects toward technical excellence.Provide technical support to development and maintenance of company s library and mentor technical development of employees.Proactively identify risks and opportunities and recommendations to customers.Job Requirements:Bachelor s degree or higher in a relevant technical discipline.Understanding of relevant metallurgy principles for steel manufacturing, including melting, forming and heat treating.Knowledge of materials grades and standards commonly used in the oil gas industry for multiple product forms including carbon, low alloy, stainless, and duplex stainless steels, as well as high nickel (corrosion resistant) alloys.Expertise with relevant industry codes and practices including ASTM, API, ASME, NACE, DNV, and ISO.Experience and familiarity with manufacturing foundries (e.g. forging mills, pipe mills, casting foundries).Five to 10 years of related work experienceBroad understanding of risk management.Strong interpersonal skillsAble to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.Strong English communication skillsDirect experience with materials and manufacturing specifications for demanding environments including corrosive and sour service, subsea environments, low temperature service, and high pressure service would be preferredKnowledge of common raw product inspection techniques and limitations.Familiar with NDE techniques would be an advantageFamiliar with corrosion, materials processing, inspection, nondestructive testing, mechanical and corrosion testing, quality control as well as failure analysis of carbon steel and corrosion resistant alloys.Familiar with pressure equipment design, and pipe and pressure vessel fabrication.Self- motivated and focused on achieving business results through a multi- disciplined team.Able to work in a teamStrong leadership skillsJob Segment: Manufacturing Engineer, Engineer, Materials Engineer, Risk Management, Technical Support, Engineering, Finance, Technology,
