It contains a number of data services and features for data protection, space efficiency, scalability, automated data tiering and security. Acropolis comes with its own built-in hypervisor called AHV; the name was derived from the words Acropolis Hypervisor. Responsibilities Design and develop management software for the Nutanix distributed cluster/ Acropolis Technology of Nutanix Understand the whole stack of hardware and its interaction with software and implement software that governs, monitors, and takes action on anomalies in the system. Implement reliable software management infrastructure for clusters that scale out to hundreds of hosts. Work on making the Nutanix software stack highly reliable and performant via OS level tuning and configuration. Skills Understanding and working knowledge of Hypervisors, Hyper-V, KVM & ESXi is an added advantage. Collaborate with the geo-distributed team to own and deliver projects end-to-end with high quality and predictability Love of programming Good programming skills, ideally for enterprise-quality software Deep understanding of UNIX/Linux Familiarity with OS internals, concepts of distributed data management, and design/implementation trade-offs in building clustered, high- performance, fault-tolerant distributed systems software Familiarity with x86 architecture, virtualization and/or storage management Qualifications and Experience Bachelor s and Master s (preferred) in Computer Science 4 years of industry experience Preferred Language: Python or C or C Nutanix is an equal opportunity employer.
