DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Install and configure internally developed software. Deploy and maintain third- party software. Implement patches and corrective actions needed to mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities. Serve as an escalation point from the Tier 1 team, helping to respond to alarms and issues. Suggest improvements to our monitoring process based on user experience. Work with Database Operations to build and maintain MS- SQL clusters. Work with Customer/Technical Support to resolve customer issues. Work with all departments when issues arise that need immediate attention. Create detailed procedural documentation. Participate in the on- call rotation for the corresponding platform. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years of experience working with networks.knowledge Active Directory Strong working knowledge of the Windows O/S.Experience with MS services such as SQL, IIS, and MS Clustering.Experience with Windows IIS Experience with Windows Server management toolsExperiences with virtualization technologies Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work extra hours if needed. Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Microsoft certification preferred, but not required (MCSA, MCSE).Experience with Hyper-V, VMware, or OpenStack virtualization preferred but not required.Experience working with cloud providers such as AWS, Backspace, Microsoft Azure preferred but not required.Experience with PowerShell Scripting Experience with Linux OS.
