We empower the original mobile device: YOU!What were looking for:As a Sr. Network Infrastructure Monitoring Platform Engineer you will be responsible for operations support and systems engineering of network monitoring tools.Position SummaryMust have advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Linux OS and networking technologies/principles.Will collaborate closely with the network operations teams to provide monitoring services to enterprise wide network device inventory.Primary Duties / Responsibilities

  • Platform Responsibilities
  • Daily platform support and maintenance
  • Designing and Engineering High Availability and scalable solutions to maintain platform uptime
  • Monitoring tools software maintenance and patching
  • Platform licensing, performance and capacity review and planning
  • Build automation and scripting (Ansible / Chef / Python development experience desired)
  • Network monitoring tools end user support and consultation
  • Managing events, alerts, and customization of dashboards and reports
  • Full platform lifecycle management (testing, engineering, POC, patching, upgrades, migrations)
  • Develop relationships and integrate activities with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementations of company and department wide projects.
  • Solving problems (processes, connectivity, resource utilization, log analysis, error identification)
  • Responsibility for timely response to internal customers or business analysts when diagnosing and resolving support problems.
Qualifications (include knowledge, skills, abilities, and related work experience)
  • Advanced Windows and Linux OS support, troubleshooting, and configuration.
  • Performance tuning
  • Software install and configuration
  • Shell scripting
  • Stop/Starting processes
  • Solid understanding of networking technologies and principles
  • Network protocols (SNMP, Routing, TCP/IP, Netflow, AppFlow, etc)
  • Network devices functions (firewalls, routers, switches, loadbalancers, etc.)
  • Network topology and mapping LAN, WAN, Cloud.
  • Networking hardware including but not limited to: Cisco, Citrix, Fortinet.
  • Tools and Experience
  • NetBrain
  • SolarWinds IPAM and NPM
  • LiveAction LiveNX (desirable)
  • HP NNMi, NA (desirable)
  • Other network monitoring tools experience relevant
  • Splunk Experience a bonus
Functional/Technical Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of hands-on relevant experience within a large enterprise
  • 3 years of experience supporting Monitoring platforms
  • Effective oral and written communication, issue resolution, and self-motivation.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
  • CCNA certification desirable
Physical Demands / Work Environment
  • Light physical activity may be required
  • 24x7 On-call support as assigned on a rotating basis
