Job Description

Network QA SpecialistAs a SystemSoftware Engineer you will join an industry-leading organization HPE (Aruba) and get engaged in the testing and verification of the most advanced products and services solutions. You will have the opportunity to work with a global product team for software debugging, testing and release management during the full product lifecycle. Aligning with HPE s technical career path, HPE offers you both vertical and horizontal growth in QA engineering team.Responsibilities: Systems/Software Engineer for testing of Switch Software Products:Develop and execute feature and/or system integration/solution test cases for networking protocols in L2 and L3 layers like LLDP, ARP, RIP, OSPF etc.,. Multicast, MPLS, etc.,. Knowledge of switch debugging, topology creation, innovative testing to reproduce customer defects.Analyze and write test standards and proceduresMaintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of softwareAnalyze test results to validate existing functionality and recommend corrective actionConsult with development engineers on problem resolutionAutomate test cases and maintain the automation test frameworkPerform routine tasks, such as updating statuses and attending team meetingsKnowledge of tools like JIRA to manage defects.Education and Experience Required: Bachelor degree (computer science, software engineering, computer engineering) or minimum of 5-8 years related equivalent experienceKnowledge of networking. Hands-on experience in manual testing of protocols like ARP, STP,MSTP, Ping, RIP, OSPF, SNMP, REST-API, PIM-SM, PIM-DM, DHCP, DNS, Stacking, MPLS, etc.,.Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Software systems testing methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English . Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at management levels.
  • Test engineering knowledge and/or experience with one or more of the following testing tools: JIRA
  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
  • Passion for technology
