Job Description

    Support roadmap for the Solution Manager and general SAP application lifecycle management (ALM). Configure best practice Solution Manager SAP system monitoring and alerting, including early watch reports and automated monitoring Configure Solution Manager ChaRM for transport management and provide consulting on SAP change request processes Configure Solution Manager for document and configuration management Drive Solution Manager system upgrade and system consolidation projects Various SAP basis related tasks around performance monitoring, performance tuning, test automation and others. Monitor SAP SolMan ASE/HANA databases, including monitoring and adjusting databases as needed to keep performance optimal. Monitor and apply SAP support OSS notes. Use SAP online OSS support to research and report problems, schedule and provide solutions. Maintain sandbox, development, quality assurance (QA) and training environments, including regular refreshes of QA and training systems from production and post-processing steps to maintain identity of the system in the QA/training landscape. Complete installation and upgrades of SAP systems and its core modules and provide continuous SAP support package upgrades. Upgrade R3 kernel when required. Complete upgrades of ASE/HANA databases. Installation of CPU and security patches when needed. Maintain SAP portal environment. Configuring backend services called by the portal, know how to create, change, and update SSL certificate. Monitor database growth and activity. Monitor database performance and adjust database resources as required. Monitor database storage and add storage space as required. Table and index maintenance. Reorganize database tables and rebuild database indexes as required. Strong functional knowledge of SAP Solution Manager with at least 1 end-to-end implementation project and 2 support projects as a Solution Manager Functional SME for following areas. Demonstrated experience working with the following SAP components Netweaver ABAP/JAVA, ERP, BW, CRM, APO, Portal, BOBJ, PI, GTS Demonstrated experience working in a Unix-based server environment. Demonstrated experience in web environment, especially with HTTPS and SSL configuration. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple assignments, under time constraints while maintaining high quality work with minimal supervision. Ability to execute assigned tasks with limited instruction, providing task status and seeking help when needed. Ability to interact and work together as a team member with the Basis administration team. Demonstrated experience performing analysis and capacity planning in an SAP environment. Experience with ASEe and SAP HANA databases required.,
