Job Description

  • Owns the operational responsibility of deploying Unix based applications
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and providing support to field deployment teams
  • Deliver on S.L.A. to both internal and external customers
  • Expertise in scripting for component/ module/ sub-system
  • Must have good analytical and debugging skills
  • Handles team deliverables and Making sure deliverables are delivered on time with high quality
  • Manages technical communication with customers and stakeholders
  • Responsible for providing metrics based Operations updates to the management
  • Work with Development team pro-actively in identifying improvement areas and prioritization of bug fixes
You are a part ofYou will be part of a highly skilled Intelligent Device management (IDM) team responsible for development of overall SaaS offering on a global scale. IDM Team is responsible for enabling Proactive Remote monitoring solution for Philips Software Applications installed on Customer Sites (Hospitals) to meet managed service SLAs. IDM Solution also provides other key value added services around remote Software distribution & Deployment, Asset Tracking, Detect & Repair solutions.This pivotal role will provide you the opportunity to leverage Agile/Scrum skills to build a high performance team responsible for delivery of Philips R&D team needs for serviceability. As part of this organization, you will have a unique opportunity to broaden your Healthcare domain knowledge in addition to exposure of working with multi-functional teams by collaborating & understanding their requirements for prioritization. Take your Agile/Scrum skills to next level working on diverse, dynamic and fast paced environment while helping scrum teams to adopt and improve Agile way of working and methodologies.To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
  • Strong system engineering & administration experience on UNIX platform is a must.
  • Strong Expertise with Bash.
  • Knowledge of Python would be an added advantage.
  • Expertise with SSH, SSH tunneling and networking on UNIX based platform.
  • Preferable Experience in infrastructure & application monitoring tools such as Nagios & Shinken
  • Working knowledge of Ansible is key.
  • Flexible to work stretch hours, take customer calls and meetings during IST Evening Hours
  • Ability to work without close supervision and with proactive, goal-oriented attitude
  • Exposure in working with SCM tools like GIT / SVN
